I think they have always played the National Championship on a Monday night... Even during the BCS Era.. However I think Saturday is more fitting.

Heard bammer as decided to go to the salad bowl. The new name will be the Chef Salad Bowl because of all the ham.

Just looking at the entire schedule. I think it is good especially at the top of the schedule to group teams that are close to the game. So that more fans can travel to the games. Where some smaller schools actually end up losing money to play in the game. With most of the match ups being competitive.
