College Top 25 Graduation Rates

Post by Omega »

For the record. Some surprises. No Vandy, Duke or Northwestern, but some football mills like Bama, LSU and FSU make the list.
Of course the article does not state the selection criteria or how the rates are calculated. The age old debate about student athletes
versus the we don't go to college to play school argument (pay for play).

1. Stanford – 99%
2. Notre Dame – 93%
3. UCLA – 89%
4. Alabama – 86%
5. TCU – 84%
6. Clemson – 84%
7. Temple – 82%
8. Ohio State – 82%
9. Florida – 78%
10. Baylor – 74%
11. Texas A&M – 74%
12. Toledo – 73%
13. Florida State – 73%
14. Memphis – 72%
15. Mississippi State – 72%
16. Michigan – 72%
17. Iowa – 71%
18. LSU – 70%
19. Utah – 69%
20. Michigan State – 66%
21. Oklahoma – 65%
22. North Carolina – 62%
23. Ole Miss – 60%
24. Houston – 56%
25. Oklahoma State – 54%

Alabama is a surprise there, but we don't know what the parameters are for this. But, also an interesting note, compare this with the top 25 rankings football wise. Most of these teams are in the top 25.

All are in the Top 25, because this is the order of the teams that were in the first top 25 for the playoff.

I had to go to the link and study it because it seemed strange to me. It's still a good list to show that some of the schools that we only think get players ready for the NFL, do actually have high graduation rates.
