The Buckeyes were unable to win their second consecutive B1G Championship but were able to finish in 3rd place, in what is undoubtedly the best wrestling conference in the nation.

The Buckeyes had a big NCAA Championship weekend, ending yesterday. They finished 3rd overall with 86 points, after winning the title last year. Marin won the 174lb Championship, and Snyder won the 285lb Championship. A year to celebrate for sure.

Although wrestling season is over, this is great to see from a Buckeye.

Sr Kyle Snyder was in the finals for the 2016 Olympic Trials in the 97kg winner take all match against 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Jake Varner. Snyder was defeated in the first bout, but dominated the next two, 4-0 and 6-1. This means that Snyder has punched his ticket to the Olympic Games this Summer in Rio, and has to be the favorite to take home the gold!
