Ohio State has confirmed that third-year sophomore quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a broken finger in practice and will miss at least the next 3-4 weeks.

Tough break for Burrow.

Haskins will more than likely fill in the backup spot with Martell right behind him. Not sure if this will cause Burrow to lose status during the year, but 3-4 weeks is a lot of time without snaps.

Hopefully he gets right back in the mix when healthy.

I assume it was on a throwing hand. I hope he heals up. back in the day we'd eat a couple fudge --sickles. take the 2 sticks, n make a splint and some duct tape or athletic tape if'n you came from a wealthy family, n we were good to go.

If the 1st stringer goes down during this time Burrows is finished at OSU.

I am afraid that Southeast Ohio's favorite son will never take a meaningful snap for the Buckeyes. Time for him to heal, graduate, then transfer for immediate eligibility. Can anyone say Nebraska?

I sure hope we're all wrong and he gets a great education and ample playing time as a buckeye. but I also hope he gets a fair shot wherever.

The fans on Bobcat attack.com are burying Burrow! Amazing these "fans" are piling on the son of their D-Cordinator.

In most of these cases, at big schools like OSU, the kid falls through the cracks. At the spring game I thought Burrow looked very good, but Haskins did as well. I figured Burrow's experience in the offense would make him the backup.

I hope he comes back strong when he gets back on the field.

If he doesn't get his job back I'd like to see him transfer up to Mount Union.

Why in the hell would he transfer to Mount Union when he can play at pretty much any DI school he will want without sitting out? The small time mentality of some around here is amazing!

I would love to see Burrow as the starter at OSU some day as well but this puts him way behind the 8 ball.
Mount Union??? That's a joke!! He can play anywhere in the Country.
