Post by YOU'RE TIGER BAIT »

BENGALS AND STEELERS BOTH COME OFF OF BIG VICTORIES YESTERDAY. BOTH GOTTA KEEP WINNING TO WIN THE AFC NORTH. BUT THE STEELERS NEVER GAINED ANY GROUND ON US WITH 2 LEFT. NOW WE ROLL INTO THE THIN AIR AND PLAY A BRONCO TEAM ON A GULPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP MONDAY NIGHT. I'M ALREADY CRAPPIN RAZORBLADES.

Here's a question who wins the conference if the Bengals and Steelers end up tied at 11-5 ? They both tied this year head to head so would the next tiebreaker be divisional record ? Then if the Bengals lose to the Ravens(which I don't see happening) they would be tied in that too so what would be next?

It could come down to strength of victories.

If this would be the case it would go to Pittsbugh.

Pittsburgh has beat Arizona 12 and 2 if they lost last two they would be 12 and 4
Denver is 10 and 4 and if they lost last two ...................................10 and 6

Cincinnati has beat Kansas City 9 and 5 if they win out 11 and 5
Seattle is 9 and 5 if they win out...........................11 and 5

Pittsburgh would have the tie breaker , because of margin of victory over us in the second game. if i'm not mistaken. but now ole bait was wrong 1 other time. plus it looks like noreply has some other info.

I pasted this off NFL.com.Looks like if they make it to number 12 they do a coin toss

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.
Coin toss

Gonna be awful tough to win this one with a backup QB against the number 1 ranked defense at Mile High, were are going to see how good McCarron really is.The running game must be better than it was against the lowly Niners or it is a sure loss.

wow that's crazy.
I'd just flip, best 2 outta 3.

Stick a fork in the Broncos, that collapse against the Steelers finished them off.

I sure hope your right Oaf! That was a major meltdown, but it is a primetime game and we know how them usually work out for the Bengals unfortunately. The one team they did beat in primetime was the Broncos so maybe that will work in their favor.
