Game 102
Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 9 Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota) 8
The Red Wings (32-35) exploded to a 6-0 lead, after three innings of play. The Clippers (41-28) responded with two in the bottom of the fourth, but the Red Wings total two in the fifth to take the 8-2 lead. Columbus would get two in the sixth and then explode for five in the eighth to post the come from behind 8-6 win.
For Columbus the long ball paved the way to the win once again. Brandon Barnes (15) and Adam Rosales (5) both homered. Rosales has silently found his stroke as he has come out of his long funk. Both of those two would drive in two runs apiece. Ryan Flaherty bested both of those two, by driving in three. Driving in one apiece, for the winners were Daniel Johnson and Yu Chang.

Rochester also got two long balls. Zander Wiel (10) and Brent Rooker (8) those two combined to knock in four, with Wiel getting three of those. Willians Astudillo (.526) drove in two and had two more hits. He can play infield, outfield and catch. Nick Gordon and Wilin Rosario each had one RBI.

Game 103
Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia) 6 Akron Rubber Ducks (Cleveland) 4
The Fightin Phils (40-28) won this long game due to a rain delay and in doing so, they pushed the Akron (34-36) losing streak to five games. Just as the Rubber Ducks seem to have finally got things headed in the right direction, they now seem have to lost it.
For the Winners Darick Hall (Dallas Baptist) hit a 2 run bomb # 14 on the season.
In all he had 3 RBI, giving him 46 this season. Cornelius Randolph, a first round draft pick back in 2015 also drove in three.
The Rubber Ducks, Nellie Rodríguez had a hit and drove in two. Rodriguez has struggled all season (.200 batting average/ 5 HR/15 RBI). Each team only had four hits as the pitching was very stout, for both.

Garrett Cleavinger W 5 1-0 5.95 ERA
Kyle Nelson L 2-1 1.26 ERA
Aaron Brown (SV 2) 2-2 3.38 ERA

Game 104
Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 5 Rochester Red Wings 4 (Minnesota) 8 Innings
The Clippers (42-29) just completed this one and it was a very good comeback win. Trailing 4-0, after three, Columbus would score the next five to post the win and even the overall series record at 3-3, with Rochester (33-36)
Rochester got a RBI single from, Brian Schales to lead 1-0 after two. Schales would go 1-3 with the 1 RBI. Then it the 2nd, Rochester scored three to g up 4-0. Brent Rooker would make his only hit in this one a big one, with a three run bomb (10). The Mississippi State grad seems to be a pain in the tail end of the Clippers, as he always seems to do something big against them.

The Clippers would get two runs in the bottom of the fourth, when Bobby Bradley (23) and Trace Thompson (18) hit solo shots. Both should be getting a chance in Cleveland, especially with outfielders up there playing as poorly as they are. Columbus added two more in the sixth, when Bobby Bradley (24) hit a two run shot.
He now has 55 RBI on the season and supports a .295 average.

In the bottom of the eighth, Ryan Flaherty knocked in the winning run by lacing a ball over the head of an outfielder. Flaherty has knocked in 40 runs this season, the same as Thompson.

W- Josh D. Smith 6-1 1.63 ERA
L- Preston Guilmet 0-6 6.67 ERA

Game 105
Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland) 5 West Virginia Black Bears (Pittsburgh) 4
Really late in posting this one, but in my defense I have been a little busy and lazy too. My deepest apologies to those who are reading on these games.

For four Innings Braxton Ashcraft (0-2 4.66 ERA) was dominating but like the last time he faced the Scrappers (5-2) he had one poor inning and it cost him in a large way. West Virginia (3-4) led 2-0 after three innings of play. Jared Triolo (2-4 2 RBI) knocked in the first run in the bottom of the first, then in the third he doubled in the 2nd run of the game.

The Scrappers would erupt for four in the fifth and then post a single run in the sixth. Michael Cooper (2-4 1RBI) knocked in the first run, then it was a three run bomb by Henderson De Oleo (1) to make it 4-2. The fifth run came in when, Bryan Lavastida singled to make this a 5-2 game.

The Black Bears scored the final two runs in this one. Both came in the sixth inning, with the first coming on a pass ball and the other scored on a throwing error.

W- Jose Oca 1-0 10.80 ERA
SV (3) - Tim Herrin (Indiana) 0.00 ERA

Game 109
Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 11 Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit) 6
The Clippers keep losing players to Cleveland (45-30) but somehow they keep find a way to win. Last night the offense, who just lost Bobby Bradley a couple of games back still put 11 runs on the board and pounded out 12 hits. On the other hand the pitching staff gave up 15 hits and 6 runs.
Columbus got 2 hits and 3 RBI from Eric Stamets, their number nine stick. Adam Rosales, who hit eighth last night had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Mark Mathias, who was in the seventh slot last night out up 2 hits and 1 RBI. Ryan Flaherty (9) hit a bomb and rove in two, from the five slot. Yu Chang drove in two and had a hit. Greg Allen added 1 RBI.
Toledo had no problem hitting the ball but overall they never got the huge hit and that kept them from posting a win in this one. Light hitting Jake Rogers (.215) had three hits including his seventh bomb of the season. He had just 1 RBI, on his homer. Pete Kozma went hitless but managed to drive in one. Getting two RBI each were Jeimer Candelario (2-4) and Dustin Peterson (3-5).

Game 112
Columbus Clippers (Cleveland) 3 Indianapolis Indians (Pittsburgh) 2
The Clippers (48-30) keep finding ways to win and each time I just shake my head and say these guys seem destine to make a deep playoff run. The Indians (41-36) are in a downward trend but still have talent to right the ship.
Last nigh Aaron Civale (2-0 2.04 ERA) threw 7 innings, gave up zero runs and struck out 7. Neil Ramírez (SV2) came in a put out a wild fire he inherited, after Chih-Wei Hu (1-3 7,93) continued his horrible season by giving up 2 runs, 3 hits in just 1/3 of an inning. Trayce Thompson (19) provided the offense, with a two run bomb. The other Columbus run came from Mark Mathias (1-4),
For Indianapolis, Eric Wood (2-3) knocked in both runs.

Game 114
Louisville Bats (Reds) 9 Columbus Clippers (Indians) 8
The Bats (29-52) took advantage of the one glaring Columbus (49-31) and that is not having a knockout closer. The Bats scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth against two Columbus pitchers . Neil Ramírez 2-1 5.19 ERA and James Hoyt 1-0 5.03 ERA. Ramírez ate the loss.

Leading the offense for the Bats was, Narciso Crook (4-6 1 RBI) from the lead off slot. Josh VanMeter (3-5 1RBI) He now supports a .358 batting average. Nick Longhi (2-5 2 RBI). He raised his average to .288 and now has 37 RBI. Brian O'Grady (17) went 1-2, with a solo bomb and he walked three times. Sherman Johnson had a hit and drove in one.
For Columbus, the offense showed up as usual but the pitching again failed to compete at all, in this one. Daniel Johnson (4) had one hit, a three run bomb. He ended with 3 RBI for the game. Eric Haase (19) went 2-4 with his only RBI coming on his home run. Trayce Thompson (2-4 1RB1) he has slowly got his average up to .236. Brandon Barnes (1-5 1 RBI). Barnes has 54 RBI this season. I expect him to be called up again to Cleveland, as soon as Dolan, the owner throws in the towel. Mark Mathias (1-3 1 RBI). Mathis has 33 RBI this season and has played very well, where ever they have him in the field. Eric Stamets drove in a run. It appears that he is getting a chance to play 2nd and 3rd more. I believe they, the front office sees him as a defensive guy. Greg Allen had three hits from the lead off spot.

W Joel Kuhnel 1-0 2.08 ERA.
