Special teams killed Memphis (2-60 . A missed field goal, a chip shot by Austin MacGinnis (Kentucky), his first missed since joining the team and a fumble by punter Ryan Winslow (Pittsburgh) deep inside Express territory led to the winning score.

Memphis defense had a sack and two picks, and if not for a penalty they would have had a third pick. Getting the sack was, DeMarquis Gates (Mississippi) and getting the picks was, Justin Martin (Tennessee) and Jonathan Cook (Memphis)

The Memphis offense was good and did enough to get the win, but special teams blunders made it all to much to allow. Brandon Silvers (Troy) 30-49-269 yards 1 TD 1 Int. The former third string quarterback, has been the best of four used this season by Memphis. Terrence Magee (LSU) had a rushing touchdown but only had 39 yards on 9 carries. Gerrard Sheppard (Townson) 9 catches, 98 yards led the receivers. Dontez Byrd (Tennessee Tech) had a receiving touchdown. He totaled 5 catches good for 52 yards. Also with 5 catches was, Daniel Williams (Jackson State).
For Orlando, Garrett Gilbert (SMU) had a roller coaster like game. 20-42-310 yards, 2 TD'S 2 Int's. Making touchdown grabs were, Chris Thompson (Florida) and Donteea Dye Jr. (Heidelberg,Oh) Johnson had a find game with 8 catches 135 yards. De'Veon Smith (Michigan) and D'Ernest Johnson (South Florida)had rushing touchdowns. Earl Okine (Florida) had a sack and a pick. Will Hill III (Florida) had a pick. Jerome Couplin III (William & Mary) had 5 tackles.
