Miami (0-2) had a 1-0 led, after five and then from their the Rockies (2-0) bats came alive mostly against the Marlins bullpen.
Marlins starter Trevor Richards went 6 innings gave up four hits and just 1 earned run. He struck out 4 and walked 2. German Márquez
(W, 1-0) also went 6 innings, for the Rockies. He gave up just two hits and 1 earned run. He walked 3 and struck out 7.

Curtis Granderson hit his first home run of the season, in a losing cause. The rest off the Miami starters did not get a hit. Rosell Herrera came off of the bench to get the teams other hit.

For Colorado Charlie Blackmon led the way with 3 hits and 2 RBI'S. Nolan Arenado added 2 hits and a RBI. Trevor Story, David Dahl and former Indians farm hand Tony Wolters each drove in a run.
