DeSclafani pitched 2 solid innings, struck out all 6 batters. Then that 3rd inning was BAD. Guy for the Brewers had a ton of strike outs too. Off day today before a 2 game set with the Halos.

Stayed up late to watch the Reds get beat 5-1. Mahle gave up 4 of those in the first 2 innings. Ended up pitching 5 but other then a homer from Votto in the first, couldn’t get a run across. Another game out there tomorrow.

The Reds are definitely on the right track to becoming a playoff team soon, maybe not this year but not long after that. The reason is because they finally have developed a solid pitching staff. For most of the year, Cincinnati has been in the top 3 or 4 of all baseball in team ERA. Good pitching is a must if a team wants to be playoff bound. The Reds have it, and it won't be long before they make the postseason.

As of 6/27, the Reds are on a four game losing skid as they open a three game home set with the division leading Chicago Cubs. The Red's are back in last place but only 6.5 behind the first place Cubbies.

The dang Reds will tease you with hope but then turnaround and give you the cold shoulder.
