Why would that earn a "WOW!"? You're paying him, so of course he's going to be in the rotation.

He has not pitch in 3 to 4 years ! The old GM gave the money to the wrong player! I hope he can pitch again !but a low market team can't afford 60 mil unless your on the field.

Phillips is open to waiving his no-trade clause, which would be great for the Reds, no matter what they would get. Opens up 2B for one of their prospects and lets one of their most popular players have a chance to win and not have to deal with a rebuild at the end of his career.

We already know that you think the money went the wrong way, nobody is questioning that, I'm pretty sure you've said it on this thread nearly 50 times.

I would hate to see Phillips go, because when he is on he is so much fun to watch out in the field and he still has some ability with his bat. But, if he waived his no-trade clause that would be big for the Reds, not only because they would get something in return, but also I think it would give Peraza more time at 2B.

Phillips in his last year ! The damage has already been done ! Now clean it up /Cleve made the big game / had a good coach /Watt jockey was made to go bottom line / Phillips O-Boy just want to retire a red . It's going to be a long winter / but alittle bullpen help would go along way !

Fairly certain Votto will stay a Red. Not many teams would take his contract I wouldn't imagine.

The Yankees and Red Sox could take it on, both could use a first baseman. Both would have the prospects to make it worth it to the Reds.

The biggest get would be if they could get Benintendi from the Red Sox, since he's a Cincinnati kid and is a stud.

Reds miss out on a big deal. The Mariners (who wanted Cozart) trade Tajuan Walker to the DBacks for Jean Segura. Would've been nice to get a young, controllable fireballer like Walker and it could've been done, as I think Cozart is more talented than Segura.
