Never bad to have a bunch of arms, but the Reds sure do have a bunch lol. Starting pitchers you have Greene, Lodolo, Ashcraft, Montas, Williamson, and Abbott. Martinez who they signed can also start, but I assume he goes to the BP. So that’s 7 guys for a 5 man rotation possibly. Leaving the 2 who don’t make it to go to the pen or sent down, about 10 other guys fighting for time in the pen. Young, Cruz, Pagan, Sims, Farmer, Moll, Suter, Diaz, Antone, Gibaut. Will be really interesting to see what route they go with these guys. Really like the infield, but it’s a bit crowded too. I assume Candelario 1st, McLain 2nd, Elly SS, CES 3rd. You have Marte who can play 2nd, SS & 3rd. India who isn’t very good at 2nd, rumors of him being in the OF. You also have Edwin Arroyo who may still be a year away but he’s another SS I could see up at some point this year. Little worried about the lack of a power OF guy.Steer, Benson, Fraley, Friedl is a nice solid 4, maybe add India to that. Wouldn’t be mad to see another OF brought in though. All that said I’m looking forward to this season. Close last year, this year I feel is a turning point. Less than a month until catchers and pitchers report!

If your the Reds, need every one of them.
the bullpen has got to be better, there's a few when they get in just set back and watch it leave the park hold on, every pitch just hope
.bullpen has been there down fall, and a starter that can go pass 4 innings

Good analysis PT59, gonna try and give my take on a couple points you made! I easily see Williamson starting in AAA with the starters we have this season and potentially even Abbott depending on if they make Martinez a starter or BP arm. Cruz and Antone could also start the year off in AAA, which I find is a solid option with how many pitchers we had to call up last season. It's nice to know you already have MLB caliber pitchers in your minor leagues, speaks to the depth we have.
Lineup wise, I can easily see vs a RHP we give this lineup: 1. CF Friedl 2. 2B McLain 3. LF Steer 4. 1B Candelario 5. DH India 6. SS Elly 7. 3B Marte 8. RF Benson 9. C Stephenson --- Bench: CES, Fraley, Fairchild, Maile
It is going to be tough to get everyone in the lineup and more often than not will switch up every game to play the matchups, but it also shows that no job is safe and hopefully everyone is competing at their best to guarantee they keep their spot. I'm very much looking forward to this season and what we can accomplish. I'm a fan of our offseason bringing in guys where we had holes and not having to spend big $$$ or give up any top names!
