You said it right about Cowherd when you said Jock Sniffer.

He is an idiot, who says what ESPN tells him to, and only cares about pushing the dial.

He bashes teams from Ohio simply because the people of Ohio love sports and
care enough to flood his inbox with mail and call into the show. He wants to
bill himself as the all-knowing, all-important Herd, but he only really cares about
how many listeners respond. He hates on Ohio, because we respond.

He's a tool shed!!!

90-95 wins and the Central title. They can beat the Western representative but not the Phils or the Braves.

Reds could very well get 100 wins. 37 games left, 19 home and 18 away. Need to 28-9 to get 100.

Several things working in the Reds favor.

1. Reds are the best road team in baseball.
2. Reds have a favorable schedule the last 37 games.
3. Only 12 of the last 37 games are against teams with a winning record.
4. 25 games are against teams with a losing record and all 19 homes games are against losing teams. Cubs-3, Mil-6, Pitt-3, Ariz-4, Hou-3.
5. Reds have offensive fire power and Triple Crown threat Joey Votto.
6. Reds have 4 road games in Colorado, a hitters park. Plus, the Reds play all their home games in a hitters park.

Several things working against the Reds...

1. All 12 games left against teams with a winning record are on the road. SF-2, StL-3, Col-4 and SD-3.
2. Starting pitchers are starting to tire at this point in the season.
3. HUGE 3 game series in St Louis over Labor Day. This series could have a mental effect on the team that losses the series.
4. St Louis starting pitchers appear to have an edge over Reds starting pitchers.
5. St. Louis has offensive firepower and Triple Crown threat Albert Pujols and he usually heats up in September.
6. I think LaRussa is a better in game manager than Baker.

Getting to 100 isn't a must to win the division. I think you have to have at least 95 wins to win the Central.

Should make for some good baeball watching the last 6 weeks of the season and lets hope ESPN and FOX pick some of the Reds and Cards games over the AL East, who seems to be on TV every other day.

All things considered, I think the Reds win the Central by 1 game over the Cards.
