Heard they interviewed Brown from RVHS before they made the final decision to go with the guy that has never been responsible for either side of the ball. This entire program has went down the drain, only one sheep farmer to throw questions to now. Here’s to 10 years of mediocrity.
I don’t think Brown will ever coach a single football game.

Letting Penrod go was a mistake. Carters success was Penrod’s kids that penrod developed from Jr High age. The talent is gone and If you think two 9-3 records were “good” you should’ve been at the games and seen the lack of coaching in the games that the academy lost. Talent won those games, lack of coaching cost them.

Didn’t Penrod step down because of a family health issue?

Give some examples of their bad coaching- this is interesting

I would have done everything possible to give Penrod his time in returning instead of moving on.

As far as coaching is concerned, one look at the sideline would tell you all you’d need to know

Since (and including) 2017, GA is 51-20. Pretty good by any measure. And yet, it’s still not enough. Gallia Academy doesn’t have the same number of kids in their school district as they did 30-40 years ago. Most schools across the state would be very satisfied with that. However, GA is not. It’s mind boggling to me that anyone would think that this would be failure.

What’s even more amazing is that rather than looking at the successes both coaches had, people will look at their failures. Then, people wonder why they can’t find a coach. There’s only maybe 3 other schools in the SE region might consider this as not up to par, and GA is not one of them. GA will never find a coach worth their salt when you can’t get community support. Period.

51-20 record in that span is pretty good. Community support is a big factor. Coaching isn’t easy, which is why everyone doesn’t do it.

I usually carry Penrod's water so he doesn't need a burner account, lol

The new coach will be announced in the coming days. Final interviews took place last week as I was told. The monthly board meeting is wednesday.
