I think Gallia wins this game pretty handily. But offensively I think point pleasant has the ability to be very successful against the blue devils. But I am curious to see how they play.

I believe the way you attack Gallia is head to head with physical football but very few teams seem to have the ability to do that anymore. I thought meigs would do it especially since the few times that they just blocked helmet to helmet and a quick hitting run play were all successful. But they just would not set up and run that way every play.

Gallia has way too many athletes for people to run slow developing plays against. I think Gallia by a couple of scores

Gallia Academy 42
Point Pleasant 12

Final

Rathburn with a big game through the air. Franklin and the Shamblin brothers are deadly with the ball in their hands. This team could be really special.

Gallia's passing game was very impressive. The three main receivers are going to present problems for just about any team that they play. Enjoyed watching this one on FNR last night.

A solid victory for obviously what is a very good GAHS team...Ironton will decide if they are a legit contender.

I’m not surprised that GA is winning games but the manner is which they’re doing it in. Goodness. Super quick. Swarm to the ball and if they go into week 9 at 8-0, they’ll play just as tough against Ironton as last year. I think if you give Carter some time longer, he’s going to be a very special head coach for GA. People forget how young he is as head coach.

Wow! How humiliating to not only be defeated so badly by your rival at home, but also your rival who plays absolutely nobody except Ironton.
Hate it for the QB that he broke his leg last week. You’d think a school that size would have a backup ready to go.

Happy to see Rathburn get the nod. I think getting him at QB and both Shamblin's available as playmakers on the field is the way to go. Let Bray chuck it and let Hunter make plays all over the field.

Heard about some unsavory stuff going on after the game last night. Something about ink?

It is my understanding that some black paint, (maybe paintballs) were hurled at the GAHS cheerleaders someplace other than the visitor sidelines. This happened during the game, I believe.

You know it's funny. I don't remember this kind of thing happening back when Gallia was down and Point was having their best run in recent memory, in the mid 2010s. Seems like they were perfectly respectful when they were hanging 60 and 70 on Gallia. God forbid they catch a beating on their home field and act with some degree of class. If they play next year, hopefully Gallia hangs 70 on them.
