I believe Jackson will be very good for the next two years at least. The kids who are sophomores this year are very talented. They should only get better. When they are seniors I believe we could see one of the best teams ever at JHS. Combine those seniors with Winters at QB (he will be a junior then) and the legacy RB (who will be a sophomore then) and this could be one nearly unbeatable team. But that’s 2021. The 2020 team should be very good as well. Certainly they should make the playoffs again.

The great depth at running back and defensive line will be tough to replace. I see a different looking Jackson. More passing and a lot of targets to Prater and Davis. Evan Spires will be a key cog in the offense...TE, RB, QB, WR. I don’t know where he’ll be but he’ll be very good. Heard Drew Bragg May return to playing...he would help. It’ll be interesting how Coach Hall uses a surplus of talented skill kids. So many of them could play multiple roles/positions. Prater/Davis/Spires/Winters...maybe Bragg...freshman Wolford. Mix in McManaway, Peril, McGraw, Jones...could Mastin or Humphreys have an offensive role?

I think the offense will be very good as long as a few kids step up and do another great job on oline. I don’t think the defense can be as good as last year but can be quite good.

Should be fun. Hope all the kids buy in again. That senior group was a special group. Low on egos high on result. 2020 could be another special season.
Agree especially about the passing. In what few games that I saw Jackson play this year, people have only caught a small sample of what Winters will be able to do. Not only does he throw a beautiful pass, but he's going to be a load to bring down when he decides to run the ball. I think without a doubt that he will be one of the best QB in all of SEO.

Did Jackson find a game for week 3. I would love to see Ironton on the schedule.

2020 Jackson Linebacker Corp

Senior All state backer / tight end Treylan Davis , who just got more d1 offers from Toledo and Bowling Green.

Junior grant Mastin was all state and the teams leading tackler

Junior Evan Spires led the state of Ohio in defense touchdowns and only played 6 games.

Senior Blake Cross is aggressive and has experience

Plenty of other thumpers will compete for the 4th spot.

Could be one if the top linebacker units in the area.

Jackson secondary has a lot of experience returning also.

Junior Tristen Prater is a lock down type corner.
Senior Mason Perill filled in last year when needed and did a great job.
Sophomore Jake Winters is a big physical safety with a nack for big plays, Jake could also be moved into the 4th linebacker spot.
Senior Nate Mcmannaway is a big physical player who plays hard .

Should be fine on the back end

Defensive line will be hit the hardest by graduation. But Senior Caden Humphreys will be a force up front and there is several good prospects who are ready to see some minutes

Fair run down poo. Accurate as well. I like to see someone step up and become a player that’s not expected to be right now in winter workouts. But through hard work gets better and slowly gets his name in the hat then becomes a force. Who is up to the challenge ???

The 9th - 11th classes are all very deep. Plenty of thumpers who have won at every level. This team
Will be very deep. We’ll see who puts the work in to get better.

Jackson will be Jackson next year, rest assured, and I mean that in a good way. They will be strong, in shape, athletic and deep.

Pack80 good post but like to add in that the Ironmen will be well coached and prepared they best they can be week in and week out too.

As always the expectations and goals will be extremely high. And only hard work will achieve them.

Weight room is alive and filled during both sessions. Not sure we see much of a drop off in 2020.

Lol. Well there’s so much talk on other threads about OSU being in SEO. Can’t imagine they were at all those schools and they didn’t take the time to stop n see treylen Davis. I maybe wrong in thinking that. I do know he got a couple MAC offers up to now.

Ohio State was at Jackson . Probably stopped to see 4-6 southern Ohio schools while they were down. Treylan has offers from several Mac and Jacobs Winters has an offer from Akron.
