They also had another guy who ended up getting drafted in the MLB that would have been a D1 athlete on the football field if he would have chose that path. He may have been a year behind Moss I cant remember. But would have been DB and can not remember where he played on offence

Sam Singleton - running back . Drafted by the Brewers in the 7th round in 1995. Only played one year of minor league baseball before poor choices ended his career. Same class as Moss and Howard.

Dunbar and Dupont are not the same
Dunbar is on I64 West of South Charleston it combined with South Charleston to become the New South Charleston High

Dupont is in Rand WV, AKA Rand University as Randy Moss calls it,
Dupont is Southern Kanawha County just above the toll road
Dupont and EastBbank combined in 1999 to form Riverside High School

Jason Williams didn't play football in high school, but did play Baseball
Floyd was the QB
Moss was the WR
another pro athlete in Baseball Sam Singletary was the RB
along with Bobby Howard

My son will probably be asking you about this in class this week.

That’s cool. I remember it pretty well. Might actually still have the tape. It’sVHS though!

How many catches and yards did Moss have?

Played lb at Notre Dame and in the NFL with the Bears.
Wasn’t Eric Moss Randy’s brother? Maybe a cousin?
Did he sign with Ohio State?
I have the DuPont vs Beckley Woodrow Wilson AAA championship basketball game on vhs somewhere in the house. It would Moss, Williams and Howard’s senior season.
What is a VHS?

Went to the game as a little kid. Long trip to Charleston. Stood against the fence on ironton side at the 10 or so. Remember Randy returning the opening kick off for a touchdown and then that was pretty much it. He was catchingbacrene passes but couldn’t shake free. Lots of batted down passes. Final was something like 31 to 7

I have 2 sets of records and one says Dunbar in 91 and the other says Dupont in 91. I would say Ironton played Dupont in 91 and 92. One must be a misprint.

Dupont at home in 91.
At dupont in 92

I workes with Pears Foye. He coached Randy and Eric in grade school & his son played for marshall also. Have been around Randy numerous times. Eric also. Good people.
Yes that is correct. 91 at Ironton and 92 at dupont.
