Some of the money had something to do with funds the school had. I had heard if they used part of the Centers for classes this money could be used. One reason it is a lot bigger than first planned.

Thanks for the picture Raider

A super nice add on to already plush facilities. It's better than some small colleges out on 328. The present and future Chiefs deserve every bit of it.

I know the TV2 space is in the Chieftain Center which is a co-educational class.

The band will use it too, and they're co-educational.

My understanding is the money comes from two places. Money already on hand and the Boosters. Boosters pledged 2 Million and they are close to that now.

Does Logan have an indoor track & field team? Seems like this could be perfect space for an indoor team, unless the ceiling isn't high enough. How high up is it?

Logan sends boys and girls to winter meets every year. Should be able to do everything but the discus and there are not too many indoor places that do. So far there are three indoor meets schedules for this winter.
Looks like there might be some problem with the shot too.

Jackson has an 9 mill 86,000 square feet indoor field house too? I didn't know that. Cool.

Logan has had indoor track for quite some time.

The Chieftain Center will be hosting many track meets - include college meets. I think the expectation is for the facility to be self sustaining from rental fees paid by (non-Logan) hosted events. The place has a six lane track with room for bleachers.

Here's a photo of the first pole vault run in the new facility:

Would like to see some pics on here, Noreply. That's only the basketball courts and track. Like to see the football area on the other side, more weight room pics, etc :D The facility is bigger than these pics give it credit. I'll have to check out the open house on Wednesday. Will the public be able to use the B-courts to shoot some hoops and walk in there when the temps really tumble outside. I heard it will probably be locked up tighter than fort knox as the track is around the f-ball field for people to walk most of the time.  We shall soon see how much the public will get to use the new field house facility.

I'll be getting pictures Wednesday night and will probably have them on around 10pm. If you are going to be out there you will need to let me know what you will have on so we can meet.
