This is going to be a dandy!!

Ironton can't afford to keep turning the ball over, especially in this one.

Love my FighTing Tigers.

I am not happy with the penalties and turnovers that have been going on since the hmmm, guessing here... the Ashland OT Loss?

Anywho, when it started doesn’t matter.

When it 🛑 ✋ STOPS DOES!

When it does, great things await to this incredible group of hardworking players, coaches, supporters of, and fans of those mighty TIGERS!!!

I agree, turn the ball over Friday against the blue boys. it'll be a long ride home. ironton is capabable of beating them. but not with all the silly penalties and turnovers. you just can't do that against an 8-0 team, especially a school that is considerably bigger than you enrollment wise. because they have more athletes to pool from, and you get better depth that way. after not scoring in the 1st quarter, and trailing 6-0. the fighting tigers went off and blowed a head gasket on the grovers. and I was glad it quieted down that one lady that must have been 3 feet from wiro's microphone last night on the coal grove side. cause I was about to turn the sound off and guess at the score. let's go hornettttttttttttttttttts was all I could hear in my sleep last night. gotta love the enthusiasm though. that's exactly what you do in fact need as fans. fans that show up, cheer their team on and give the team their undivided attention. that's what it is actually all about. I been known to make a lil noise at games myself I hear.

it's evident that ironton has of late beaten some teams with very few wins. that's why with 3 losses burg passed us in our region. but we have 2 big point games left now against teams winning a lot of games. it'll all come out on the spin cycle. burg winning actually helped us, even though we slipped a spot.

I like GA in this one. Ironton seems pretty predictable on offense and hasn’t really shown much as far as a playbook. Ironton however is much more physical on defense and I don’t look for this to be a high scoring affair. GA has the speed on the outside to get down field and the QB throws a good ball. May come down to the kickers, both are capable of hitting a 40 yarder.
GA 17 Ironton 16. Early FG gets it.

Ironton has played the tougher schedule.
I don’t see that Gallia has played anyone of note. You can argue Portsmouth but they aren’t great.

The condition of the field may play a very big part in the outcome. Haven't seen Ironton yet, but when I watched my Trojans lose to Gallia, I saw an offense by the Blue Devils that can run and pass with equal ability. I do agree with smurray in that I think the Fighting Tigers have played a tougher schedule, so that may play in their favor.

A game like this is good for the OVC and the overall perception of the strength of the conference.
