My dad saw him play in high school in the early 50's. He was also the punter in high school and dad said he could boom them.
He was hit by a car in high school. Hubert Bobo was the big reason Ohio State won the national title. Here’s a crazy thing. Hubert Bobo was full back, middle line back, and kicker for Ohio State. Bobo made the goal line stand tackle at the 1 yard line to beat Michigan

Kind of cool that Ohio’s top stat RB Bobo and QB Burrow grew up a couple miles from each other
After 67 years he's still in the Top 7 in the offensive record books per OHSAA in 7 categories while playing for the Chauncey-Dover Blue Devils:
1st - Career points 890 (129 more than 2nd place)
2nd - Season td's 52
2nd - Career td's 123
2nd - Career Rushing td's 118
3rd - Single game td's 9
3rd - Points in a season 323
7th - Points in a game 59
(Note: Your 2014 Burrow Bulldogs hold the #1 spot for points in a season with 861 !!!!!)

that cannot be right.... logan beat ironton in 1977 down at tank. I think the score was 20-14.... seems like ironton suffered another loss that year also but not sure.

Those are reported records. Your school submits them. There are a lot of records not reported. Also Ironton lost during that time period. I’m surprised no one ever took it down

Norm Burrows!! Great story Moses!! He could play some hoops too. Portsmouth was State Runner up in 80 and he was a big part of that hoops team.

Saban probably held him back.
Burrows would have probably graduated from PHS in '76 or '77 so he wouldn't have been on the '80 state team. Norm was a senior for the Buckeyes in '80..
Yeah my bad on that part. I believe he was integral on the 75 and 76 teams.
Scott Burrows, Norm's brother, was on the Trojans' 80 state team. You were right about a Burrows playing in '80. I should have mentioned Scott before..
Scott also went to Ohio Stare and played football.

If I'm not mistaken, Ironton's streak ended in '84 at the hand of the Portsmouth Trojans..
Not sure how any of this is relevant to the topic at hand lol..
