In a topic that was brought back from 2009 I saw that Warpig made a list of the most memorable plays from Jackson High School. I love stuff like this and wanted to do something similar. If you remember a play that defines Nelsonville-York Football or remember the emotion involved with a certain play, please list it below. I'd like to put something together for Buckeye Nation.
A few plays already brought to my attention are:
2000 TD Catch vs. Wellston to win the game
2008 Chance Fox 106 yard INT
2017 Keegan Wilburn TD Catch with 0 seconds left on the clock
1981 Trent Galentin TD Run on 2nd play of State Championship
2017 Colt Yinger TD run to win game in OT vs. Fort Frye and send NY to first Regional Final in 35 years
1994 Justin Gail TD run against Coshocton
1997 Ben Robey INT TD vs. Wheelersburg in playoffs
Best plays in NYHS History
Re: Best plays in NYHS History
So many good ones in our little schools history. I’m a sucker for big defensive plays. One of my favorites is the OT sack against Wellston to win the game.

The 2008 was a heartbreaker for Athens. Athens had the ball first and goal from the 4 with a couple minutes left down 2. Then lost the next 2 games by 1 point each before finally beat NY in 2011. Made that 2011 game the most electric game I’ve been to
Chance Fox is probably the main reason Athens lost in 2009 and 2010.

Still to this day I am shocked that Athens threw the ball in that situation. That 2011 game is one of the best I have ever seenRaider6309 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 2:04 pm The 2008 was a heartbreaker for Athens.
