Should be a good one with Ironton

I'll take ironton by 17 in this one.

Agreed. Ironton will have the best player on the field, but will they be able to match Gallia's team speed...?

Gallia might not score in this game. I don't see Gallia matching irontons speed, strength, size, or athleticism.

Gallia's lines are just as big and athletic as Ironton's. As for speed and athleticism, Ironton hasn't seen a team with as much all around speed as the Devils. This will be a game for 4 quarters.

Jackson has one of the best chances imo.

I was at the Portsmouth--Gallia game, and I can say first hand that the Blue Devils have some speedy backs, capable WR's, and an athletic QB. Of course the Trojans have issues on defense, but from the eye test GAHS has above average quickness and speed. The Armstrong kid at TB for GAHS is really fast, and can take it all the way with just a small seam. I believe they have another kid named Williams that has above average speed as well. The QB can make plays with his feet and arm. Defensively, the Blue Devils look to be susceptible to another team's speed, as Portsmouth scored 28 and had the ball in Gallia territory with a chance to add another TD with most of the Blue Devils starters in the game. The Trojans, though, are a good offensive team that can run and pass. Gallia was more physical than Portsmouth and in the end that was the difference in the game.

The winner of the IHS-GAHS game will most likely win the OVC. Gallia is a good team no doubt, but I wonder if their defense is good enough for them to advance in the playoffs......a team with speed and versatility on offense could keep them from playing in week 12 or 13.

There is somethings we don’t know about Gallia team and I am not sure we will know if they can do somethings or not.

Gallia I think has pretty good defense. It is hard to determine how good. Because I don’t think we have had our best 11 defenders on field at once all year. The biggest reason why is to cut down on players playing both ways.

An example would be Armstrong I would say he is our best defensive back. But I think the 2 quarters he played on defense against Portsmouth probably doubled his defensive snaps this season.

With the regular season being half over right now, I think it's a no brainer that Trimble will go 10-0. I think Jackson is playing better now than early on, and as long as they stay focused, I can see them also going 10-0. I think if Fort Frye can win this game coming up against Wheeling Central, that they also can go 10-0. If Ironton had not stubbed there toe, and lost to Ashland earlier, I would have thought that the winner of Ironton-Gallia Academy would have had a good chance to go 10-0. If Gallia Academy beats Ironton, I think they will go 10-0.
