Who’s the favorite to come out on top and make the playoff push? I have to believe the usual top four will again. Could be any number of finishes. Should be an exciting year.

I look for Tri-Valley to get it's 9th straight title in the last year of the 9 team MVL. The year after it is likely in my opinion that the streak will end. Tri-Valley will continue to have good teams but the very good and great team run year after year is running its course. I base that on the results at the lower levels. There was a point when TV was undefeated (or close) at all those levels year after year after year. Not so the last few years.

In 2020 the two divisions of the MVL should be great wide open races. Realistically more than half the teams in the MVL could be battling for a division title late into the season. In the large school group Tri-Valley, Sheridan, Philo and John Glenn should all be solid. Among the small schools, New Lex, Meadowbrook, Coshocton and West M could win the division. (West M will have a very talented group JR group in 2020 and would not be surprised to see them win one or two division titles in football.)

Tri Valley for sure will be at the top. I do believe they will definitely be challenged this year from JG and Philo. I know Sheridan lost a lot but I have a feeling they will reload just fine. Should make for some fun games to watch. I’m thinking the league can get 3 teams to the post season. Not sure how deep of a run they can make though.

Based on non-league play the MVL was down a bit from previous seasons. Teach - Do you see a stronger league next year?

I think it will be very competitive in both divisions the next few years. As far as strength of teams, Sheridan should be really good next year and Philo, John Glenn, Tri-Valley and New Lex should have solid seasons. Not really sure the league will be stronger overall.

As much as the top of the MVL is really good, the bottom is really bad.
