Private schools have some inherent advantages to attracting top notch athletes. Because of those advantages they often don't need to recruit to secure those athletes. That's just the reality of the situation.

I'd hate to see separate tournaments. But the field is no where near even that's for sure.
The problem is the OHSAA is trying to use competitive balance to even the playing field, but the private schools sue the OHSAA because they lose the advantage.

Ravensfan: Competitive balance has not even been passed so how are private schools suing over something that does not exist yet? If you can cite a case, please post it. Meanwhile, here is the latest on round 3 of the proposed competitive balance by the OHSAA. Versions 1 & 2 were voted down.The deadline for the school principal's to vote is on Wednesday 5-13-19. CB has been around for a couple of years. They are making some changes for it this year.

should a kid be able to go to school where he/she wants to? there is probably not a wrong answer but being American I like my freedom
