Tough schedule for Wellston. 4 home and 6 road games with the first 3 on the road. Jackson, Piketon which will be at their new stadium, and Lakewood which is an 1 1/2 drive. Plus trips to Alexander, NY and VC. With Portsmouth West, River Valley. Athens. and Meigs at home.

This year reminds me of the 2015 season. About everyone but River Valley could win the league

Wellston, Athens, Meigs, and VC all have new head coaches this season although Athens just promoted from within so everything will stay the same. That dynamic alone will make things very interesting for 2019.

I hope it's like the 2015 season! RV won 7 games and made the playoffs! LOL

Doubtful! RV went a competitive 6-4 in 2014 where they were a pathetic 0-10 last year.

That's what I was thinking. I'm thinking they tied for 2nd or finished 3rd that year. Almost beat Meigs for 2nd outright. What is this dude talking about? He literally picked RV's best year in conference and tried to trash them with it, lol.

Oak Hill should get into the Hocking and IMO Gallia Academy should ask to join the Ohio. Warren is just too far. If Gallia Academy joins then all Gallia County Schools would be in the TVC. Travel makes sense for all.

They have been in the small school league of the SOC for years. Enrollment is dropping and somebody needs to push Trimble for league championships. I think them to Hocking and Gallia to the Ohio make perfect sense.

IDK, I mean they wouldn't be considered HUGE for the Hocking. But they'd definitely be the biggest team in there. And no knock on the hocking facilities, I know trimbles have gotten better, but Oak hill would be considered first class int that league. Not sure they'd want to go any of the other places to play any sport. I just don't see them going from their facilities to the facilities of the Hocking. Plus, I think they would compete for the Ohio Crown so why drop to the Hocking. Dropping numbers is one thing but good god the numbers they'd have to drop to be in the Hocking would have to be a lot. They were D5 Last year with 162 boys. The biggest school in the Hocking is Belpre with 123 then Fed with 119. After that it's all D7 schools all under 100. Oak Hill by the numbers would be the biggest school in the Hocking. Then you factor in the almost 2 hour hike to Waterford and Miller, while a friday night game wouldn't be bad but on a tuesday night going to a basketball/baseball league game? If they join the Ohio the furthest they'd have to go is to NY about an hour and 15 minutes away.

It could work, I'm not saying it wouldn't work.....just not sure why they'd choose Hocking over Ohio UNLESS they knew they could pull an Athens and win every single league title every year just by pure numbers

Are they that scared to compete?
They are bigger than Nelsonville-York and you want them in the Hocking?

Although Oak Hill to the Hocking seems like a bit of a stretch, size wise, it’s no different than them being in the SOC 1 over the last many years. Green, East, Eastern Pike, Norte Dame, Waterford, Miller, South gallia... it’s all the same pretty much. The travel in the Hocking for Oak Hill would make it impossible though. Oak Hill should join the TVC Ohio Division. That’s their best fit.

Oak Hill has a history of sandbagging going back to playing in the svac in the 80s... when they play smaller schools consistently, they win consistently

I like Galia to the Ohio a lot... if Wahama drops out of the Hocking the numbers are now even right?
