Nation, Had a chat today with an individual that is close to the program. You are correct. Thanks for the info.

I said this a week ago lol

I swear I seen that team picture somewhere and I can't find it now. :(

I'm more worried about injuries at this point in time, it comes with the territory when ya least expect it. Can hurt a season right when things look good.

Yep that can derail any team let alone one with low numbers.

Yep, better hope someone can fill in too at a needed position with low numbers if injuries happen. Who's the back-up QB, Bolt? Was told again this evening one of the Ruff boys did get injured early summer, but the good thing is he may be back, but not early season. The Ruff twins are good hard nosed ball players. Need them both in there.

Rumor has it Ruff could be back by week 3 if the rehab stays on track

Guessing the reserve QB from last year Ian Frasure

That's some good news. Is the one that's injured a linebacker too, RNation?

I’m guessing last year they both played linebacker but he was the one that did some of the running back duties

Didn't know that. He will be missed till he's back. Both good ball players. Chiefs will be missing #21 this year to graduation. He was another 110 percent giving hard nosed linebacker.

10:00 AM on Saturday. Added to replace the Purple and White scrimmage. Still doing Captains Appreciation Day along with it.

Varsity roster is in pretty good shape. A couple lettermen from last year aren't with the team this year, but also got a couple of lettermen from two years ago back so it's really a wash.

27 freshman is a great number considering they've struggle to even field a 9th grade team for a couple of years. And yes, such a small number in the 8th grade isn't great.

But Coach Perry had like 25 kids on Varsity his first year and that turned out okay.

Hard to tell who is who from the N-Y scrimmage - everybody just wearing practice numbers.

Logan rotated a decent amount on offense. Both QBs played. Clearly Spatar is going to be the starter, but not afraid to use Frasure from what I could tell.

I think the team will have decent depth. IMO - the back half of the defense was as organized as I've seen for a while. Guys were lined up pre-snap, they understood their job, and were able to execute. N-Y scored on some QB draws/one busted QB run - but overall very good on defense.

The offense had some ball-handling issues - snaps/fakes/etc. That's the kind of "acceptable" mistakes for this early. The kind of thing you'd like to see improved on by Marietta and the jamboree game.

Still think cautious optimism is the right approach.

This team isn't likely going to make a turn around in to a 7-8-9 win football team. At the same time, I think its fair to be optimistic about improving on 1-9.

Tri-Valley, Jackson, Sheridan, and Zanesville are going to be BIG lifts.

There isn't an "easy" win on the schedule. Teays has been a nemesis since coming on the schedule, Chilli and Athens are always battles, Meigs should be improved and have elite talent at quarterback, Maysville and Hamilton Twp. are two programs that have been on solid footing for the last 5-6 years.

I know it is a new coach, but I think a lot will be disappointed if Logan goes under .500 and are not in the other games.
