2016 SEOAL

Post by billcox »

Is there any news on what is to come of the 3 teams (Jackson, Logan, Warren) that will remain in the SEOAL next year?

The following is simply my opinion. Obviously a lot has to happen in order for things like this to work out.

The best fit for Warren is obviously the ECOL. Logan clearly belongs in the MSL-Buckeye. I see no viable option for Jackson besides being independent.

Something has got to give...

Warren isn't going to the ecol and the msl doesn't want Logan.
This horse has been beat so many times already.

The only option they have is to find a couple teams who want to join but that's gonna be pretty hard because the SEOAL has been so unstable the last several years.

The 3 teams will stick together as a 3 team league until they convince a team or two to join the league.
In the meantime each program will be just fine.

I heard the mid Ohio athletic conference is still looking for a team.....
Logan may be to big for the league but it's worth a shot.

Depends on the set up! We will be fine with the OCC!

OVAC is a secondary conference to Warren in order to help with scheduling games. The SEOAL will still serve Warren as a primary conference.

With only 3 teams can the SEOAL crown a conference champion?
I was under the impression that you have to have a certain number of teams, but I don't know what that number is.

The Central Catholic League (Columbus) crowns football champions in each division.

One has DeSales, Watterson, and St. Charles.

The other only has Hartley and Ready.

I believe in all other sports it is just one league title (plus Columbus School for Girls in girls sports).

Maybe that is the line, but there is nothing primary about a 2-game league schedule.

My reason for pointing that out, however, was that Warren decided against the ECOL due to travel....and competition?

I think Vinton might be the only team in the Tri Valley Minor League that hasn't cut-n-run yet so I might believe this story.

Late 80's maybe early 90's if memory serves me right. I bet Jottings or Logan Locos could tell us the year.
