Somebody said it was SP in '62
it may have been actually I thought it was rock hill or even pedro high school.

actually I did some digging and the south point loss was 1962, my uncle carl white was the fighting tigers head coach. and ironton lost to south point 12-6. according to ironton football.com. and a Lawrence county team has not beaten them since.

up to 2007 ironton led the series with Ashland, ky. 41-28-3. I'm not exactly sure since then.

you are correct the team that beat ironton was in 1962, south point beat ironton 12-6.

okay I looked through from the 30's until present day. in 1932 pedro high school(rock hill school district) beat ironton 8-0. and south point beat ironton in 1962 south point beat ironton 12-6, and in 66 south point beat ironton 20-8. under then ironton coach bob bruney. I'm curious as to who was the south point coach at the time, it may have been my other uncle bob white who is carl whites brother.

I agree with this post. I don't think this will be a close game. I'm taking Ashland big

Depends on how the vibe is in tiger land, could go either way.

Close or blowout. This is a defining moment for the state of tiger football

This game will help the Tigers on their way to a losing season. I will guess they get 4 wins this year.

SO DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE THIS SLANG TERM STARTED AND ORIGINATED ANYWAY.OR WAS IT AN OUTSIDER THAT STARTED IT. IT MAY BE CUTESY FOR OUT OF TOWNERS TO SAY THIS TO TRY TO JUICE THE TOMCATS. BUT THIS GAME IS ALREADY FOR ALL THE MARBLES ANYWAY AND MEANS EVERYTHING. FOR LIKE 100 YEARS. FRANKLY I COULD CARE LESS, IT GIVES THIS GAME NO ADDED LUSTER. AND I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY IT. juss for the record, sorry bout the caps.

If this staff can't make adjustments then Ashland wins. What I seen Friday I would say they can't even spell adjustments.

Ashland is down a little this year but I believe they will win this one handily.
