Great effort from both sides. Fort Frye did a great job staying in the game mentally after a terrible first quarter.

Most people just can't understand how big sports contests are to these two cross river rivals.
These kids and their fans, have relatives, lifelong friends, shop the same stores, eat at same restaurants, some even cross the river to go to school.
Heck, they see and talk to one another daily. Yes, about sports and kids.
See you at a couple basketball games here and over there this winter.

This is another legendary chapter in this rivalry!

Waterford came out with one of the better first quarters we've seen in years. Fort Frye went for it on 4th in short and was stopped. Braden Bellville is a tank and scored on an option play. After a Fort fumble the Wildcats would score on 4th in 10 from about the 30 on a perfect pass by Peyton Stevens to Harris.

After 1
13-0 Waterford
Fort 3 turnovers

After Fort got its own stop early in the 2nd that's where the game changed. Fort marched down on a long drive ending in a Tyler Bradford TD!

Waterford responded with a bomb off a wheel route to Bellville making it 19-8. That was the last of the big plays for Waterford.

Play of the game came with 47 seconds in the half when Tate hit Braden Henniger for a 68 yard touchdown making it 16-19 at half.

After a late hit penalty the Wildcats had to kickoff for its own 20. The Cadets would get the ball and march down the field scoring on a Tyler Fisher jet sweep. Making it 23-19 in the 3rd.

That was the end of the scoring. Tyler Bradford and Evan Schob ran the ball hard all night. Fisher got to the edge when he needed to. Tyson Miller and the DL dominated the 2nd half of the game. It looked like Bellville and Teddy Smith just gassed out.

10 years in a row Big Brother has won the battle for the River!

Go Cadets.

Waterford is a good team they are playoff bound.

Was that late hit on the last play of the 1st half? The only kick-off in the 2nd half before FF took the lead would have been the opening kick-off.

Cadets held Braden Bellville to 87 yards on 16 yards that was a heck of a group effort and some gang tackling! Also wanna throw a shoutout to Caden Fryman and Brennan Huck they both played very well at outside LB containing the edge. Eric Huck is now 20-0 vs Waterford.

Oh we're still here....we just don't have to assure ourselves that we are good by beating a school that is three times smaller than ourselves....btw ...how many div. 6 and div. 5 teams do you play ...and win?...FF plays mostly div.7 teams.... celebrate with pride blue....All in all it was a great game and one turnover or one play could've changed it all...there was no domination...just good hard football... always is...

What? Fort Frye is D6 and Waterford is D7. Fort Frye is playing Warren this week and they are D3. 3 times smaller it's like 40 kids both of these schools are considered small. Funny when Waterford was winning you never heard the " Poor us Fort Frye is so much bigger then us. Get real Fort only has like 35 players.

This is true. The series has been a total mismatch. We should drop Waterford and play Morgan or someone who has a chance to win sometimes.

I hope the game is always played! I think everyone in the community was there Friday! I love this game. I do get super tired of Waterford using school size as a crutch. Come on the news paper claims Waterford has 38 players to Fort Fryes 34. School size has nothing to do with the game.

Fort Frye Schedule Breakdown
4 D7
4 D6
1 D5
1 D3

That is a perfectly acceptable schedule for a D6 school. Must be good enough considering the point system is heavily based on strength of schedule and they've finished 1st and 2md last 2 years.

No. Chaw is right. Look at the all time record on this series. Fort Frye should find someone in an upper division for week 3. Isn't Williamstown about the same size? If Marietta is going to trounce them by 40, maybe they'd want to play Fort Frye in week 3.
