Teays Valley (35) @ (7) Logan

Post by Chieftain2009 »

Both teams look for their first win of the season. Thoughts on this one?

TV played well last week against Chillicothe and could have won.

Logan's O-line needs to improve very quickly.

They need to have the O-line to stop zone blocking and just straight up block. We don't have the personal to do zone blocking. K.I.S.S.

Simply amazed at the lack of talent. Lack of size. Youth. Toughness.

Will be another rough week. TV had an opportunity to beat a very good Chilli team but couldnt pull it off. Chiefs will have their hands full this week just like last week. Leaving your starting QB and RB in the entire Jerome game down 35pts with the possibility of late game injury has me questioning the decision making. None the less......TV rolls 45-13.

I think the game will be closer than some might expect. Defense will have to step up big time . Not sure that the offense can score enough to pull out a win . Last week was tough but was expected . Pull the chin strap a little tighter and get after it . One game does not make your season . Side note : Playing your starters when down 35 is acceptable if you have not accomplished creating a positive offensive game . Hard to simulate game time with just practice time . Go Chiefs !!!!

Not having seen Logan play, I would agree that zone technique is more advanced than the basic in, on, out man principles

Will be a physical battle - as usual - with Teays. They strap it on and run right at you. Pro style offense.

They've been more physical than Logan for most of the series and won the game.

Nice QB at Teays. Defense will need to be aggressive but disciplined. It will be a fair test.

Logan ran 37 offensive plays.

Hard to see how this team gets better without reps against quality opposition. Can't simulate that in practice due to 2-way players.

Time to start the evaluation of the Logan program since they are playing similar size school and talent. The result will not be surprising!

Chieftain Fan has this right,

I don't think this is going to be lopsided and do think it will be closer than maybe some think. We scrimmaged Chilli, and while yes it was just a scrimmage and all the ifs-ands-buts of a scrimmage apply, it was not some super Chilli team that is going to dominate everyone on their schedule this year.

A good defensive game plan here and solve what the QB does (easier said than done) and this game will be good. Logan will be the more physical team I think.

Logan plays 3 good QTRs like last year then shoot them selves in the foot in 1 QTR (most likely the 3rd,) and lose by double digits.
