Looks like Ironton and GA will vie for the league crown. Expect Portsmouth to have a say in things as well.

The OVC with 8 members now soaks up most of the schedule for these teams. It is hard to build a strength of schedule if the conference is down. I am always impressed with Ironton's non-conference having Wheelersburg and Blazer on the schedule for as far as I can remember. Rock Hill has Minford which brings them points if they can win and Fairland has Waverly which is a D-IV school which helps them but Tolisa kind of hurts them. Anyone know the status of South Point's program with the coach leaving and it being on the decline for several year? I had heard there are talks of eliminating the program at one time and just going strictly with soccer.

I wish I knew. I asked that question several times on the "2019 Ironton Tigers" thread. Either no knows or I was just ignored. You'd think someone would know that answer. How about it Ironton Tiger fans!!!!!!!

Heard today that Ashland is dropping in enrollment and has been reclassified into 3A. This will change their schedule dramatically. Not sure if it changes the dates they can play.

They have gone from a 6 team district to a four team district. It just means they will have to find 7 non district games.

Does anyone know if South Point is playing Boyd County this year. The KHSAA has Lawrence County, KY playing Boyd County on the same date as the South Point game.

So the question would be, if this would he the new look OVC, how long until Gallia is gone. Would be hard to make playoffs and get a high seed with two DVI and one DVII school on you or schedule.
