I'd be interested in counting how many players each playoff team got. Johnstown had 6 all State players (2 1st, 2 2nd, 0 3rd 2 HM). Seems like a couple short. #70 and #47 were snubs cuz they have been lights out in the playoffs!

Congrats to all..but especially our Bobcats. Trent Valentine (1st Team) named to All-Ohio Receiver list 3 consecutive years! Ranked #30 in OHSAA history with 175 total receptions and ranked #9 in OHSAA history with 32 consecutive games w/ a reception.

People that know football know Matthews should trade Holden awards. Matthews is average without Holden next year will prove this. Awards mean nothing gallia had a linemen all state and I ate his lunch and told him about it. As he was being mauled I said to him who is Allstate? He knew same as Matthews knows who his daddy is.

Mathews will do just fine next year with out Holden. He will be the best all purpose player in the county and in southeastern Ohio !

Question how did Swepston from Waverly become 1st team all district and HM All State and nothing in SOC. My son plays at Huntington we follow the Tigers because Daklta went back to Waverly. He is a good athlete I just do not know how it all l works. We made the trip to Indiam Hill but that was the only game we were able to watch.

Here in the SVC we have a banquet for the SVC awards. It that how other leagues dp things. My sons sports career was cut short due to an accident so we will root on others. I just wonder what recognition the players get.

This is all about the Ego.

It’s about as useful as the AP POLL.

What matters is who is left playing. Who on here besides the obvious would have JonMon in V championship-vs-Orrville, just two weeks ago?

Now, the two regions all said were the weakest in V, are in the championship.

Good luck to both teams and to all of the young men who work their tails off to achieve their dreams, you’re on your “own” special teams/all state squad, and continue to let that motivate you in life!

Believe In you and your team & all will be good!
