I think most people would largely agree that their disdain is less-so rooted against the school itself, but the community and it’s generally noxious fanbase (including its message board following.) Although, at the same time, I think the Nate Moore and Thayer Munford situation (interesting that each of them both decided to move to Massillon from Cincinnati at the same time) has galvanized a lot of the general disdain, too.

My own personal animus relates to the paper titles chest-thumping and how Massillon fans decide to be the arbiter of what poll champions are legitimate and which ones are not.

(FWIW, as a Catholic school fan, I think what Hoban has accomplished is tainted, I think their means of getting where they were at today has been despicable, and I want to see them piledrived out of OHSAA postseason play for a good long time.)
Say all people want, but they have amassed an amazing number of wins and play quality competition every season. As far as their fan base we have few in SE Ohio who are equally obnoxious
Sure, that’s fair.

On behalf of NEO, here’s hoping that Hoban puts a running clock on the tiggers.

I like Hoban. Their QB is a local boy who commutes daily to Hoban from the Valley and their coach is a former Ursuline player.

Hoban's sophomore QB told the OHSAA reporters pregame that this is just another game. They had regular school hours today, no pep rallies or anything like that all week. I guess when you have 3 straight titles in a row and won 28 games in a row it may just be another game at that point. Both teams are located right down the road from the stadium anyway so that would help a little.

Massillon trying different skill position players in 2nd half, many who didn't play a whole lot during the year and they're doing pretty good. I guess they had to try something else and It's working ok right now. ( Start of 4th, 67 yd. catch for td for Massillion, Hoban 34-28 right now).

You don’t understand the level of cheating Hoban is on. Massillon cheats like Jackson and Wheelersburg. Just their area

The start of Hoban’s dynasty was created by Danny Clark from Massillon going to Hoban. Be interesting if their D1 freshman QB stays at Hoban. Their QB from Youngstown is only a sophomore

Love it. Take your paper titles home and try again next year Massilon. Maybe you will win one on the field before the playoffs become half a century old. And if cheating were truly going on, wouldn't you think OHSAA would be all over it?
