Because without your win over GA, you would've missed the playoffs. That 9-1 GA team gave you the points you needed.
Game was competitive and likely will continue to be competitive.
Old time rivalry. Great gate. Great atmosphere.
Why SHOULDN'T Jackson play Gallia Academy?
Those are all true. Be interesting to see how Gallia academy does over the next 4-5 seasons
The talent level looks pretty high from the Jr High level, all the way up the ladder. Next two to three years will be a lightning fast offense that outscores opponents.

Made a post about this elsewhere. Making it again here. Since the GA/RV series is done after this year (apparently) GA and Jackson need to pick back up.
Even Athens would be an acceptable Week 2 opponent. Or NY.
The Buckeyes are locked into Playing Berne Union next year but may be looking to pick another team up for 21/22
That would be a game to see. Do the Bucks play on grass or turf?
Turf
Championship's are won in the off-season
BUCKEYE PRIDE!
With all due respect, Point Pleasant should be a money game. I agree GAHS should play Jackson, but shouldn't have to beg them to play us at home. And a home/home deal should be the only way we would play them.
I think schedule wise. this isn't a blue devil thing particularly but in general for a team in a 8 team conference. i think ou need a non conference schedule that you know you can go at least 2-1 at evey year. Ideally unless your team is going to go 0-10 you should schedule 2 teams you can beat and a team that is a reach for you. if every team in your conference would do this basically any team that goes 5-2 in league play would have a shot at a playoff spot. so if your conference is 16-8 in its non conference games you are probably going to end up with at least 3 playoff teams maybe even 4.
Specifically for gallia they need 2 money games every year or that would be ideal for them. The way the schedule has been one year you got river valley and meigs at home for money games and the next year you had point pleasant/Jackson and ironton as your money game. if you loose river valley i am not sure who another money game is you can get. As most teams in our area don't really travel that well. My guess is if not jackson you may look at a athens maybe you could get vinton county or wellston to travel early in season. a stretch may be a minford.
If you dont think they need another money game i would like to see week 2 go back to being what it was for a while where we played like a hillsboro or a icking heights or a columbus or cincinnatti area team. but if i am not sure you want to play a great team there if you have jackson or point on schedule every year.
Understand? I can remember when Logan came in at 0-3 and won the SEOAL ? But a team that has 45 players in football a small school ! Logan 60 to 70 ? But I under stand ! Point is a power in WV!
I would say the scrimmage went somewhat well. I can’t really get a feel for the offense this year, but the defense looked physical and more athletic than it has in recent years. I’m sure Penrod will have the boys ready to compete with anyone on any night.

Will there be another scrimmage next weekend?
I believe Saturday is the ovc preview in Ironton. I think Gallia plays rock hill at 7. Portsmouth vs Fairland at 5, south point vs Chesapeake at 6, gallia vs rock hill at 7 and Ironton vs coal grove at 8. I’m not sure about 2nd and third game times.
