As a Pirate fan I too am excited beyond measure for the first game of the season and I for one am pumped about the possible resurgence of the tiger program. I've always enjoyed the atmosphere when these two communities meet for competition. I think it serves for better preparation come playoff time when you've been involved in all out battles beforehand, and seen what you're made of mentally. How you respond when the chips are down and so on... I enjoy talking to my son about the games afterwards and seeing what kind of lessons he may have learned through adversity. CAN NOT WAIT!!

My pick would be Arch & Eddie's and then down the street to Michael's for a bubble.
I may have just talked myself in to going now.lol

From what I’ve always read is your 1-2 touchdowns down before you walk onto Tiger turf .

That’s correct, unless a certain crew from Ironton is working that game, then you’re 3-4 down. JS

I heard that before you step out onto that field in Pasadena, you have already been beaten by 5 touchdowns, showered, dressed & already seated at ya table at Beauty & Essex for the post game meal if the Scioto County Rose Bowl champs are in the building. 😬

I heard that some people are as full of crap as a Christmas turkey. nobody wants a poorly officiated game.

Several years back I counted them up during the Lutz's era, excluding playoffs. Even I was surprised how little difference there was in wins at home and wins on the road. It was statistically insignificant. I can't swear to it but I very strongly suspect that the percentage difference was far less than the other schools.

After watching Ironton versus Jackson tonight. They are definitely the for real deal. They are a solid ball club. #2 is an animal. And they have a kicker that is going to be a weapon for them all year. Good football team. Burg gonna have their hands full next week
