After watching Hillsboro vs. Chilly last Friday night Ill take Hillsboro in this one....It's going to be a shootout, but I think Hillsboro comes out on top.

Loser likely out of league title race

Washington better figure out their defense or Keets and Burns will have 200 yards each

Mayby take a few of there " Skill " kids on there offense, and have them play a little defense. As bad as there defense is, and giving up the amount of points that they do, it probably wouldn't matter anyway. I know some of your Div 1 schools and larger schools do play 11 on offense and 11 different kids on defense, but down in this area most schools end up playing a large number of the kids both ways. As Ironman92 pointed out, when playing better teams, and feeling that you would just about have to score 50pts or more to even have a chance to win, will eventually catch up with you.

Well supposedly WCH did try this and #2 got injured late in the Jackson game while playing defense....So I was told.

I see Chillicothe winning the league. but I can also see a 3 way tie in Jackson, Hillsboro, and Chillicothe. If WCH wins this Friday it could get real interesting, Although I think they will lose to Chillicothe so it won't matter.

WCH played guys on both sides of the ball the whole game against London and it made no difference, they lost 56-7. The problem isn't the talent level on the defense. The scheme is so bad. Anyone from WCH knows that there is far too much talent on the defense to ever allow 40+. It's been this way for years. I decided to do some digging...

Since their last playoff berth (2010) the Blue Lions have allowed

10' 26ppg - defeated McClain(6-4) and Adena(7-3)
11' 28ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
12' 34ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
13' 41ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
14' 40ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
15' 28ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
16' 38ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
17' 30ppg - defeated no teams with winning record
18' 32ppg so far. their 4 wins have come from teams who are a combined 3-21.

I've had my children and grandchildren come through the WCH school system over the last 20-25 years and I've seen so many underacheiving teams it's just awful.

I'm dusting off the Old Saxophone to play in the alumni band. Luckily I studied music in school so I can actually still play.

Hillsboro is a football team. Not super athletic but hard nosed and well coached. They’ll win by 28-35

Haven’t seen Hillsboro in person yet but courthouse would get rolled by Gallia Academy, western brown and wheelersburg.

Sorry, I was told that they used 95% of there Skill kids only on Offense. I didn't go to the game,so apparently I was told the wrong information. Thanks for clearing this up

VetteMan is right. The problem is the new coach was begged by former players and parents to let the two former head coaches go. The team was run into the ground by these two guys. Instead he allowed the new AD and others to convince him to keep them both. Many current players threatened to quit because these two coaches would lie to them. Playing time is one thing, but jerking kids around is another. This defense has been in this system for at least 20 years or more. Longer than I have lived in CH. The only time is has worked is when we had 4 Div1 players. Look at past records and scores. The defense has been getting torched. By the way, the OHSAA now has the mercy rule in Ohio becsause of these two. Bishop Ready 98 WCH 12.

Well, everything against Washington kids.

Sometimes the chip gets pretty big and kids make things happen. Boro May rush for 500 yards and win by 30....but they may find themselves in a dog fight.

I don’t think Hillsboro has the athletes to keep up with WCH but I know that WCH can’t stop the run. It’s gonna be a high scoring game, 55-52, over 100pts scored in this one

Hillsboro and I doubt it will be competitive. Not sure how WCH gives up almost 70 last week to Jackson who is solid but by no means an offensive juggernaut, Hillsboro will get their stops and dominate the trenches on both sides. Call it 48-20.
