Game of the week, I like the Burg by two touchdowns.

Once again, from afar, Wheelersburg can name their own score in the game. The Pirate's program in terms of coaching, depth, and talent is simply superior to any other team in southern Ohio.

That said, I am pleased with the direction the Waverly program is headed. I felt this year would be a rebuild but instead they have reloaded. Coach Crabtree should be commended. The Tigers will give their best shot at the Burg

Just to put it into perspective:
Clinton Massie at 5-1 and 3rd in region 16, just ahead of Waverly in computer points, beat 4-2 Bishop Hartley 34-31. Bishop Hartley is 5th in D3 region 11 and beat Wheelersburg fairly handily.
I’ll put some more perspective on your breakdown of region 16. It has always been a top d4 region. While Wyoming can have as much percentage as they want it comes from only really playing two teams that year in year out can compete with them. It hasn’t helped them win this region and I doubt they win it this year. They have made several regional finals only to get crushed. Massie did beat Hartley and looks to again compete for d4 championship. Before this however they were beat by d6 coldwater who won’t win there conference. If that isn’t perspective idk what is. Burg is the only team in the area that can compete state wide every year. For as good as waverly has been last 3 years when they get to the playoffs it’s no different than us making it. While I think they could win certain matchups in region 15 if they were in it they aren’t going to beat the top teams. For there sake I hope they can continue success and get in 15. With a good record they can get a home game and have a shot to win. As far as region 14 or this game with burg it’s not in the cards.
I don't think I can agree with you that Waverly couldn't beat any of the top 4 teams in region 15 right now. I think they could be competitive and/or beat Bloom-Carroll and Gallia Academy. Indian Hill and St. Clairsville would be a harder a challenge I do agree.
They for sure can beat Bloom-Carroll and GA. If they get healthy and get the matchup. I wish you all the best tonight and for the rest of the season.

When I say top teams I’m talking as in skill. Obviously they can beat a bloom Carroll and Unioto is in a top 4 spot. They could definitely win the right matchups in 15 this year.
And that’s the difference between 15 & 16. Waverly probably wouldn’t beat any of the top 8 (7) in region 16 while they could possibly win two games in region 15. They would be sitting at #2 in 15 right now. Of course you have to eventually play the best teams but winning two playoff games is much better than losing the first game with a running clock (last year).

3:19 of 1st, 14-0 Burg, lightning delay. Might as well call it now. I got Athens-Meigs and N-Y and Wellston streaming now. Life is good.

I think 107.5 The Breeze is covering.

Game is in a lightning delay and the storm is 30 miles to the South.

They need to look into revising the lightning rule This storm is nowhere near Waverly and is moving away from us. Lightning can be seen for many miles away, especially if it is high up in a cloud.

Yeah, It's getting ridiculous especially this year. (40-50 miles away and It's automatic delay)

I know they are looking out for everyone’s safety but the storm here that they saw a “flash” of lightning had no chance of hitting. Someone should be able to look at a radar and determine that.

That could be possible especially if it’s in Coal Grove!!

UNFREAKINGBELIEAVABLE!!!

They called another delay and there isn’t a storm within 50 miles of Waverly!!

OHSAA NEEDS TO GET THEIR HEADS OUT OF THERE ARSE AND REVISE THIS RULE!!!

There is no way it was a streak. A flash 50 miles away is no way in danger of striking here.
