Re: WK 5: Monroe Central (0-4) @ Fort Frye (3-0)
Never thought day would come when Fort was going for its 4th straight win over Monroe.

Fort Frye won’t run it up on anyone. They love getting younger players snaps.

Some years It's not intended but happens even with backups in.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:38 amFort Frye won’t run it up on anyone. They love getting younger players snaps.

Last year @ Monroe I think the Noles has less 75 yards. Fort won 36-0.

It's a new era out there at Woodsfield. I remember the days when I never thought Fort Frye pose a threat to Woodsfield/Monroe Central. Not sure of any all-time series record but it has to be somewhere in the 70% or more in wins for the boys from Monroe county.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:29 am Never thought day would come when Fort was going for its 4th straight win over Monroe.
Saying FF will name the score in this one is a given. The head coach of the Cadets sure has built a great program in a short amount of time.

I am pretty sure no Monroe Central fans are going to have anything to say about this game. I'd like to see them get back up on their feet and be competitive. We have 3 solid PVC teams, but hard times in Woodsfield guts the middle of Fort Frye's schedule.

This years Srs were freshman for Forts first ever win in Woodsfield. Fort don’t have many wins in this series.carbon_dated wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 11:23 pmIt's a new era out there at Woodsfield. Fort with commanding win, but I doubt they run up the score.
I fear that MC is going the way of Beallsville in terms of enrollment and success. Soon 20-25 kids may turn into 15-20.

Monroe’s QB is very athletic but has no one around him. He’s pretty decent on defense as well. Very quick. With that being said, Fort by as many as Coach Huck allows.

The Cadets continue their march to 10-0.
JV team gets playing time on Friday night again.
Good luck and good health to both teams.

The word on the streets is that the Monroe Central boosters aren't enamored with Ischy as coach.
Look for the smaller rosters in the future. Could be 0-8 by the time they play Frontier, which is "usually" a given.
Could they get Beallsville back on the schedule?

Yes they have a 6-5 TE/WR but the Noles lost their best overall receiver against Caldwell with a broken wrist. Also lost starting C/DE for the year with an ACL injury.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 1:38 amDon’t they have like a 6-5 TERespectAllFearNone wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 10:10 pm Monroe’s QB is very athletic but has no one around him. Do boosters think there's a Circosta II somewhere in Monroe County?carbon_dated wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 10:25 am The word on the streets is that the Monroe Central boosters aren't enamored with Ischy as coach.
