Initial class last year inducted we have a lot of catching up to do.

superior performance and or made significant contributions to the school’s varsity athletic programs during their time at Waverly. Potential
inductees include former student athletes who have achieved a high level of success during their high school career as well as individuals
who have provided outstanding service to the Waverly athletic program, including but not limited to, coaches, athletic directors,
administration, and others who’s achievements and service have left an unforgettable mark on the history of Waverly athletics.
Minimum Criteria for Eligible Nominees

that prevented graduation or minimum of two years attendance.
2. An athlete will not be considered for induction for a minimum of 10 years after graduation.
3. Coaches, administrators, and other similar candidates must be retired from the position for which they are being considered for
induction.
4. Potential inductees will be evaluated on several criteria including:
* Exceptional achievement in a particular sport(All Ohio, school record holder, top performer on exceptional teams, etc.)
* Exceptional performance and achievement relating to the level of competition and other Waverly athletes that participated in
the sport during the
athlete’s time at the school and prior eras.
*Additional consideration will be given to those athletes who participated in multiple varsity sports, even if the level of success
varied between sports.
5. Nominees must receive 75% of the votes from the Hall of Fame Committee to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
* A limited number of members will be inducted annually. Each person in the induction class would have to receive a minimum of
75% of the vote.
6. A team from a given year may be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame. To be inducted, 100% of the vote is necessary.
There can be no more than one team inducted in any given year.
*An inducted team would include players, coaches, and managers who were in high school or had graduated prior to the
season/team in question.
*Members of an inducted team will not receive the same type of award as an individual inductee.
*Members of an inducted team will not necessarily receive the same privileges as that of an individual member.
(any future consideration given to individual members)
Nominations can be turned in at any time, but must be received no later than June 1st to be considered for the following school year
induction.
After a nomination is submitted, it will be reconsidered each year for 5 years without an additional nomination. After 5 years, the
nomination would need to be resubmitted.
An induction ceremony will be held in December on or around the 1st night of the Holiday Classic, held the last week of December each year.

Very cool.
I really like the idea of being out 10 years before being considered
At ZT, you can get inducted the following year after graduation.
Not to say that any are not worthy, but being a state qualifier will often get you in here. We will cover the walls here with wrestlers.
I like very very high standards (but i guess im old school)

Where is Tim Tackett @? Pretty much the best high school baseball player to put on a Waverly jersey IMO. I don't know how many other BB players had helicopters with big league scouts showing up to games. HMMM pretty fishy politics

You should probably nominate him, comeonman. There has only been one class inducted so far. John Shoemaker was drafted in two pro sports so politics had nothing to do with that.

Not taking anything away from anyone who was inducted just posing a question . John was a great athlete, yet I find it interesting he was the only one you attempted to compare TT to.Is your opinion that perhaps TT should have been inducted before the others? You ask why I didn't nominate him, shouldn't the question be, "how on earth can you talk Waverly baseball(which there obviously was talk considering the inductees) and not nominate him? Pfeifer ,Martin , and the entire 54 team, Come-On-Man.
Big Dog you know politics play a part in every move that is made here in Waverly. Even if you don't agree with my statement about TT should have been in the first class, you are not naïve enough to believe in no political decision making.

It is not a baseball hall of fame. There are many athletes that will be inducted but it wont happen all in one year.

The 54 baseball team own the schools only State Championship!

Take a breath! They are trying to do it in chronological order. The older guys won't be around forever, honoring them first makes sense. Younger guys will get their time.

Zane Trace's Hall of Fame (or whatever) is a joke!
