Division 7 Region 25

Post by OUCH »

The guys at the prison are saying Danville is pretty good. A northern team that we don't hear about. Sounds like Caldwell and Trimble may be the underdog in the region this year.

If Trail can beat MC, Fort Frye or River they could get in at 4 wins

Since '99 Danville has won the region twice, and I think has been a runner up 5 times (when it used to be D6 Region 23). Over that time they have took out, Symmes Valley, Trimble, Waterford, Frontier, South Galia, St. Johns, and Shadyside from SE Ohio. Have had theee classic battles with Shadyside. Just trying to give a little history of Danville in the region. They are pretty good, they have 19 seniors with a lot of them starting since they were So. That year they were sent up NE and lost to Western Reserve in the 2nd round, in a game they had the lead late in the 4th quarter. Last year they lost a thriller to Shadyside. QB is going for his third time at 1st team all-ohio (6'3" 240). Danville should finally get tested over the next 3 weeks, Crooksville, Loudonville, and Lucas. Can't wait to see how the region shakes up for the playoffs.

There's already a thread on this not to far down the page.

Franklin Heights has forfeited a game to Harvest Prep, which is going to springboard Prep into the top 8.

this region is crazy. i think trimble, danville and caldwell is pretty good but not sure. but i think are locks for playoffs. harvest prep and belpre i think our securly in playoffs but not sure how good they are. the other 3 spots in this region i probably can find reason to think 10 teams have a case to make it in. there are a ton of teams that could go win out and the same teams i can make cases for losing out.

this was my first projection for this region after week 10..
1.danville 18.49
2.caldwell 15.10
3.trimble 14.82
4.harvest prep 13.75
5.belpre 12.80
6.st. john cent 11.95
7.miller 10.73
8.symmes valley 10.71
teams on outside
9.sciotoville 7.51
10.fisher catholic 7.30
11.southern 6.69
12.bridgeport 6.44

wont finish this way. this week will eliminate several teams

Considering Bell St Johns is now (2-5) I doubt they make it.

Danville is at least 2 or 3 TD's better than everyone else in this region except Caldwell, and I think they are better than them too. They have had a pretty light schedule so far, but have simply dominated everyone they have played from start to finish, including the couple of good teams they have faced. Tough luck for the southern teams since they should probably be in one of the northern regions based on their location. Somebody is going to have a really long bus trip in week 11 and an even longer one home.

would depend if they win this week. they have wheeling central. i don't know if they can compete with them or not if they do i think they win out and would finish about where i have them. if they lose that and win other 2 games they will will be around the teams i have listed around 10 place. some of these teams i know nothing about. st. john's central being 1.

danville has a quality win against fredericktown but i am not sure how good fredericktown is. if they win 2 out of last 3 games i will believe they are that good.

i also think caldwell pretty good but they haven't played a team with a winning record yet. don't know much about monroe central so i would say there best win so far would be against Waverly? a team i know a little about. So i dont know. also think trimble is pretty good but not as good as last 2 years.
