As expected, Athens has no D and Tri-Valley is imposing their will. I don't expect the 2nd half to get any better, especially with that weak OL & DL. Tri-Valley ruling the trenches.

Yes, it was truly a special night to have pfloyd put away the basketball and get out that foreign pigskin.

Assuming Athens will probably be back at Logan for Marion-Franklin/Brookhaven winner?

No dog in the fight here, but it sure looks like Paladin has gone into hiding. It's been a shame to read all the nonsense of an adult this week constantly putting down a bunch of high school kids. He has to feel real like a real tough guy.

Wow two great games in Region 9. Gotta love playoff football. Wish I still had a team or teams left, but oh well.

Athens/M-F game could be an exact copy of the game tonight but with more points. i'm predicting in the 60's.

Wouldn't shock me if Athens has an easier time of it next week.

offensively, yes...defensively, no. M-F brings a lot of speed and better offense than TV imo

... will the regional final be in Logan next week? or will OHSAA move it up the highway a little further to accommodate Marion Franklin? ... Hoggy! you're welcome! ... bman - it is fun listening to or watching high school sports no matter the sport ... question for the Athens folks - I didn't hear Zacchia Saltzman's name mentioned during the game - hurt? being an LB I thought I would have heard his number called ...

I believe he is hurt, but one of the Athens fateful would know better.

And you are right on the money about high school sports, pfloyd.

I could see Reynoldsburg or Zanesville for this game. I'd like Logan to get it again, but the state will favor a Columbus school and have it up there somewhere.

Another option would probably be Hamilton Township.

I did not say that because of the location of Marion Franklin. That almost be a home game for them. Really Reynoldsburg would be one too, but that is the state.

I know it's pretty close to Marion Franklin, but funnier things have happened. I'd say Logan would be a good site, but don't know if they'd want to put Athens there two weeks in a row.

Zanesville will be the most neutral. I really hope for that or Logan over any site in Franklin County.
