Hopefully Coach Montavon has good number of players out this year and can pick up a few wins.

I would hope so with the numbers NW has and the size schools they are playing they should be at least 500 every year.

Northwest's problems with being competitive in football run deeper than coaching, numbers, or other trappings of a team. The program simply does not matter to most of the community. I feel sorry for the youth of the district. I wish it was otherwise.

it's sad b/c they have the size and decent enough players to win 6 or 7 games each yr. i could not imagine goin to a school where the community doesn't get behind it's team

Mohawks are a couple years away from being pretty good. If they stick together and put the work in they will be really good.

A Superintendent at an SOC I school told me over the summer that Oak Hill and Northwest will probably be in the SOC II for football as early as next year. Eastern is one of the bigger SOC schools now. They may possibly be moved for basketball, but they really don't want to for football.

That's what should happen, neither one of those schools should be in Soc1.
