Grad, I'm not sure why all of the smack talk? Burg absolutely dominated Portsmouth every time they played...nothing to be said IMO.
Good luck to both teams this season!

This is just my opinion. Burg vs PHS not playing each other.
Okay, PHS football has been, for lack of a better word, terrible for some time and
obviously Burg had been the opposite. Now Burg had been getting zero power
points by beating PHS so burg scheduling a stronger opponent will
benefit them overall.
IMO this is a win for the burg. If PHS does indeed have a strong year, how long will
the program stay relevant?
I just need hope PHS has an awesome year. And the two teams do meet in playoffs,
what an atmosphere that will be, not to mention the gate! Shoot the game would
be played locally.
Enjoy this football season and root for your teams and lets play ball!

Agree. I saw Portsmouth play Ironton in the previews and Portsmouth looks very much improved this year and the QB plays really well. Hope Portsmouth and Burg both have outstanding seasons and put football in this part of the state on the map.

There would be nothing better for the region then to see the Pirates and Trojans playing in week 11!
We could all agree that it would be great to see Scioto County and Southern Ohio football back to the power that we are capable of.

That was my point in saying it was mutual. Points.

If PHS can go 9-1 or 10-0, I'd say you'd could see a second game or a regional
