Enrollment Numbers

Post by bsee12345 »

OHSAA has released the preliminary enrollment numbers for resetting Divisions for sports. According to what they have stated the schools enrollment have been emailed to schools and schools can appeal if numbers are not correct.
These enrollment numbers will adjusted with the Competitive Balance Model so determining what cutoffs may be in Football and Basketball are almost impossible to do because you do not have each schools Competitive Balance Adjustment.
Can see what the actual enrollment is of the schools though.

Still 60 schools TBA

BTW Athens isn't the biggest school in the TVC now. VC jumped to 331

TVC
Vinton 331
Athens 303
Meigs 204
Alexander 177
River Valley 166
Wellston 153
Nelsonville York 127 (they keep dropping)

I scrolled through every single school....there isn't a single public school remotely close. VC has 335 boys but only 221 girls. 60% to 40%

Not a single other school is close. Could there be an error?

There is no way that Vinton county has 70 more boys than they did last year. These numbers (at least VC) are wrong.

Jackson at 265 is the lowest that I can remember in a long time. That's getting pretty close to D4.

Definitely seems off to me.

People must be leaving Jackson and Wellston for Vinton County. 263 to 331. That's a massive change

These numbers are almost always off the first time they are posted. Some schools by a little some schools by a lot. Most schools that are just a little off dont even bother to appeal.

Based on this, Minford or Valley will be dropped to SOC I for football.

Also, that would put Coal Grove in D7/D4 range.

is ironton still d5. I see them at 147 but I'm not seeing anything that shows the guidelines of numbers where you fall into a division or out of unless I missed it. I'm not familiar with yappi.
