Shawnee is the lower seed in this game but will be considered the favorite to win this game. Shawnee was the Division 3 state runner up last season and will be the biggest challenge for the Bulldogs yet come Saturday night. Thoughts?

Athens is coming off their first ever playoff win after defeating #6 Circleville 63-28 while Shawnee upset #2 Kettering Alter 42-34. This is the time of the season that having a smaller team and a poor kicking game can be troublesome for Athens, there isn't anything we can do about being smaller up front and its not the first time this season they have faced that challenge but the Bulldogs scored an impressive 10 TD's against Circleville but failed to convert on 7 extra point/2 pt conversion tries and those points will be huge from this point on. Tons of soccer kids at Athens, with the exception of last year for the N-Y and Jackson games I can't remember ever having soccer kids help with the football team for whatever reason. It would be nice but sadly it just doesn't happen.
