In reading the Newark Advocate preview
Johnstown
Offense-I-Formation
Defense-3-4

Dakota Crawford
6-3-310 Lineman

Justin Mooney
6-4-260-Lineman

Adam Carter
5-9-205-Fullback/Linebacker

This one could be a very hard hitting game.

Looks like Johnstown can score but also looks like they can be scored upon could be a shootout.
I like Ironton in this game after that slow stat again BC Ironton came alive that 2 week rest may have been good for ironton's players to get healthy but it may have also put a litte rust on them let's go Ironton and rock the house.

i'll tell ya what woke the fighting tiger nation up. the refs , and their all their inconsistent calls. alot going on after the whistle at that game last night, and i'll leave it at that. especially after bc, was out of it scorewise. then coach vaas got all up in their grill after a blown ball placement.i loved it and was just picturing coach lutz dusting the crops of all those officials of the past.seems as though we have a new sheriff in town that will ring your chimes as well. and having the chain gang go ahead and setup for a first and ten. it seems they forgot where the previous ball placement was, and had no other choice than to signal first and 10 the other way for the bulldogs. if nothing else , good gosh, why not was there at least a measurement man. i mean the tigers were way down deep in the redzone at this point. it just seemed like this crew was making things up on the fly all night, consulting time after time for long lengths of times.walking off a penalty , where there wasn't even a flag. and i know you, and know you appreciate good officiating.it didn't happen last night. but fighting tiger football fans are well educated, and threw a fit. and the coaches and team responded.

Nelsonville-York Boston Field or Logan Chieftain Stadium will be a good fit for this match up, both stadiums are smack in the middle of both school.. :) Plus, I would like to do some more tailgating with the Ironton Fans and friends I have down that way.. Good Luck Tigers no matter where you go..

they really did bilco. they tackled much better. still our defenders are being setup too far from recievers,i my opinion. and alot of underneath passes are being hit, i'll put our secondaries speed up with about anybodies.and feel that they should be setup a lil closer to the recievers at all times. our secondary is improving, i love to see some blitzing and stunts going on to disrupt things. but the fighting tigers kept steady pressure on the qb all night last night with basically a 3 man rush.and the bc lions had the handy efforts of a tailback that had more fabric in his hands last night than a fashion designer. we still need to sustain blocks longer on offense. but that was a very solid effort after a very slow sluggish start, they wrapped up for the most part all night , swarmed to the ball, and gang tackled.did very well laterally keeping their backs from getting to the edges.

i'll tell ya what i see that's gonna get us----------if we don't get it take care of it is special teams, we are getting great efforts on the kicks, and even extra points now consistently.it is our lane integrity on kickoffs and punts. as you advance into the playoffs teams keep getting better and better at every aspect of the game.a more talented, playoff savvy team would have exploited that last night.so we are going to have to maintain our lanes better in my opinion.and that's all that it is, is an opibnion, i'm no expert, and don't claim to be. but i see it that way.i still don't think the fighting tigers have played their best 48 minutes of football yet. but ball security has been great. tackling much better, and we are opening up the playbook some. and the fighting tigers continue to learn each week, as they should.if we continue to get lewis outside , and bust schweickart, and white up the gut. and have a very good threat of a passing game, we could be a very hard out.our weak point right now is our dline, as a result of numerous injuries.but that can be fixed with the dline getting off their blocks quicker , and some stunts.i loved the tackling effort last night, best of the season in my opinion.

dang you know what in my comments about the backs i had completely forgotten about dion, and i apologize , he had a very solid game. my apologies, but i have been hit in the head alot. i have taken my share of blunt objects about the head and face area for many years.and i'm so proud of dion, and his comebacks from all these setbacks and injuries he's had. it's a true delight to see him still out there competing at such a high level, i was just singing his praises about pass coverage, but plumb forgot about his offensive efforts

has anybody heard anything about our beloved tackle that got injured. i'll leave it to someone else to name him, but he has been great all year , and is just a junior. i certainly hope it is not as serious as it appeared, but i've been there. and i know he was in immense pain. he injured a leg earlier in the season, but has had a really solid year.i fear he is done for, for the rest of this playoff run. but pray it was just some sort of severe sprain or hyperextention, as opposed to something being torn.i'd love nothing more than to hear after an mri, that he is alright. and he needs our prayers, as well as the rest of the injured fighting tigers as they rehab, and heal. this has been a grueling year, a new coach, new philosephies. every team we played this season made the playoffs if i'm not mistaken, other than portsmouth. who typically always has a very tough squad , year in , and out. and after a coaching change i look for them to get right back in the saddle.every team we played this year aside from portsmouth had a winning record as well.so no qualms with that schedule as well. and even though we dropped 3 games to possible state championship teams. we got through it and have pit together another very solid year of football in tigertown. and this is where this schedule comes into play, the tigers, and their coaches have way too much playoff experience to panick. and have been there many times.they will handle themselves well. and through only two coaching changes since 1972, the 2 coaches appointed still managed winning seasons as playoff appearences in coach triplett, and coach vaas.so fighting tiger football is still well, the sky hasn't fallen, and the fighting tigers continue their tromp into the playoffs again.------good luck to the fighting tigers against dem johnnies.
