No, never said they buy them. Fact, the Logan Daily is a sister paper to several SE Ohio papers. When Logan plays several sports on the road the sports editors share the stories, they are property of the same company.

Here is a Craig Dunn article for the Jackson paper when Jackson played at Logan

Here is a Paul Boggs story in the Logan Daily when Logan played at Jackson.

I know what you mean, but you did in fact just lie! Look a couple post up and you said they just buy the article when they play some other teams on the road.

Tomato / Tomato, they string for each other across publications. That's a simple fact, and I've posted examples and there are thousands more. It would be one thing if I said anything negative about Mr Dunn, but I did not.

Like I said, I know what you mean. Every network of papers that are connected to each other do that. It's just like the Columbus ESPN station, in the mornings they play syndicated shows from ESPN HQ but have their own stuff in the afternoon. I just wanted to point out that you said something then claimed you didn't.

Again, tomato / tomato, for all we know they could be getting a "stringer fee", which would be buying. But again, it is not a personal affront to Mr Dunn, but the entire thing was pointing out that some communities newspapers simply do not have the resources to cover their area as others do. Be a Ross County school and play outside the county or Portsmouth/Scioto County school and play outside the county, you'll get nothing! As I stated earlier, the guys in Athens take crap because one of the 5 schools they cover always feel slighted.

And I'm pretty sure I never tore down Mr Dunn, nor did I state that I thought the Daily Times did a good job. Just pointing out the differences in circumstances.

Here is a Kevin Wiseman article in the Logan Daily covering a Logan game at Athens.

And Dunn writes almost every article (save a football game) for the Messenger when Athens plays at Logan.

The entire network of this company utilizes this network and it provides good coverage, but again, to my original point, not every paper has this resource.
Yes, that's exactly what you said

You seem to be rather selective as to who can be wrong on SEOPs. Other people? "They don't know how to use Google." You? "Tomato / tomato"

Poor guy all but hurt? Again, the OHSAA does not run any tournament lower than the regionals, save for football. So not sure why you have a problem with that. And the funny thing is, has nothing to do with the topic at hand. And all that information you complained about not being available to you I easily found for you. Same with this topic. Some people want sooo badly to finally be right it just kills them.

Sports editors are only human and sometime reflect their personal feeling in reporting events. A good editor will state the facts , get the facts straight and compose them in a non bias way period. They will sometimes include such things as stats. This is nice but needs to accurate [sometimes not} It' tough job but if you are doing what I stated people will respect that sports editor and he or she will be an asset to their paper and that's the truth. The negative and rambling on about things that have already happen turns most readers off . Southeast Ohio has over the last 50 years some really good sport editors. We've been blessed to be able to keep up with our favorite teams no matter how they get their info. Just my opinion.

Wiseman and Arkley for the Athens messenger do an outstanding job of covering Athens county sports
