Yes
Thanks. Won't be able to make it to the scrimmage, so if anybody can provide some details on how it goes, it would be appreciated.

Sounds like Jackson had a solid first scrimmage.

The scrimmage this Saturday against Cabell-Midland should give them a good idea of where they stand. Midland was too much for them in the season finale a year ago, so hopefully the Ironmen can play well this time around and build even more confidence heading into the season.

Heard they lost 21-14 to Cabell Midland. Cabell is the real deal and I really like this scrimmage for the Ironmen. Definitely stuff to improve on but they beat us pretty handily last year.

Jackson was moving players in and out alot, after the 1st td several of the 1st team was not in. I think the O line really struggled. All in all Jackson did well. Midland has a monster Team, so i think Jackson will be a force to reckon with for sure.

I heard the oline looked good but had trouble giving enough time on passing plays

Good work by both teams . Great scrimmage for Jackson . Midland is a monster and Jackson will see very few if any teams with that much talent. No major injuries and coaches have some good film to dissect and show these boys what they need to fix .

Jackson did not have anytime to throw the ball, jackson was blowed off the line, except for maybe 1 player. Several plays were suppose to be quick passes and still didnt have time. This tells me O line needs work, im sure they will make adjustments. Jackson is still going to be very strong this year. Midland is huge and has many D1 athletes.

Midland was quick to the qb on pass plays but Jackson was not blown off the ball. Matter of fact the 1st team offense had close to 200 yards on the ground when they played Jackson smash mouth football . McCoy had close to a 100 himself . So Jackson O line was just as physical as midland and Jackson ran the Ball with decent success

Jackson's offensive line is big, but slow. Good run blockers, but slow feet when it comes to pass pro. Shouldn't be a real problem this year though, it's not like Jackson is going to throw the ball 30 times a game like last year. They lack a true quarterback, they'll rely on strong defense and a ground and pound offense this year.

I still dont think they know for sure who they are going to use at QB, McCoy was going to be QB but then they had the younger kid transfer in from point. So i think for the first few games your going to see both of them at Qb. The kid that transfered looks good but is young and needs a stronger arm. McCoy can really throw but be much better off running the ball. I think the coaching staff will try to get the younger kid worked in slowly and get mccoy back to doing what he does best, but no matter where mccoy is at he will be a threat to go the the house for sure.
