NY set school record of points scored in a game vs. Zane Trace

I just checked my records, and NY scored more points in their game vs. Zane Trace on Saturday night than any other game in school history. The 69 points scored by the Buckeyes against Zane Trace beat the previous record of 68 points scored against Federal Hocking in 1980.

It's quite an accomplishment to set a school record in points scored in a game when playing ANY team, let alone against a team in the playoffs!

Very impressive but not the most points ever scored against ZT. I imagine the 79 they gave up against Ironton St.Joe in 1974 might well be. Good luck against the Burg, they are a load.

Nelsonville-York only threw the ball 3 times a game back then as well lol

Nelsonville York only scored 59 points in their 5 previous playoff games combined. Also from 2000-2016 63 points were the most scored in a game and that was this year against Alexander until last Saturday's game.

Yes, as I've heard things about NY this year and those records seem to be really important to them. Those kinds of actions typically come back to bite you in the end. But to each his own...

the 69th point was scored in the 4th quarter on a fade- it was in the air for roughly 40 yards
and it wasnt the last fade they attempted with their starters

im glad our jvs got to get some playing time against their starters in the second half. it was good for them

NY sent 2nd team O in and ZT chose to keep their 1 D in.
So when ZT sent in their 2nd O NY had a mix of 1st and 2nd string in.
It was 62 to 14 at the half, and coulda been a lot worse.
