Going to start fanning the flame here. Burg has held teams to almost no rushing yards, which makes teams play for long down and distances on third down. Burg is not invincible on the pass defense, but those yards don't come easy either, especially if they know it's coming. Nelsonville will need to come up with some magical trick plays if they want to pull the upset. Waverly stayed in the game for the most part. with burg but couldn't get that one crucial stop. Burg wins this one. Let's go 35-7.

Just curious, what was the most points that N/Y has had scored against them in a loss?

The answer is 64 and it has happened 3 times in the early years before NY football became a top program in SEOH:

1970 - Warren 64-0
1970 - Logan 64-0
1971 - Logan 64-20

If you want to include the most points scored against the Nelsonville Greyhounds, it is 86 points.
1948 - Gallipolis 86-0

The most points scored by the Nelsonville Greyhounds was 64.
1934 - Jacksonville-Trimble 64-0

2 things i see..Waverly had you on the ropes and west played a good game against burg..what that tells me ..burg is beatable. .It will take mistake free ball..quick hitters slants ..Ny has the talent to make it a real good game i think it comes down to who wants it more.
Burg...or ....Buckeyes. .gut check time.....Bucks pulls the upset. ..

I agree with a poster earlier. Paraphrasing, he said NY will see liberty center again but better. But that was a month ago but if NY hasn't made the adjustments, they will see LC on steroids. Burg has everyone heathy and ready to go! And yes, I have watched video of LC vs NY. I agree with it. For what it's worth

Would love to see film on that 81 game. Burg deferred to the 2nd half, held NY to a three and out. On Burg's opening drive they took the ball right down the field punched it in and per the Burg running back, he was three yards in the end zone when he knocked the ball off of a lineman's head and the zebras ruled it a fumble.

Burg never recovered from that and they lost 14-0.
