First their Junior running back went over 3,000 yards for the season.

Prep will be a tough out. I think to beat them you have to slow the game down. Do not snap the ball until there are 5 sec or less left on the clock. You wont out run them. I think you will have to use a lot of hard counts, because they are not the most disciplined team. You will have to run right at them and throw in some misdirection plays.(naked bootleg and inside jet sweeps). I also think if you throw in some quick counts just to keep them off balance. Passing slants both size. The tight end could play a huge part in this. Middle screens with backs and tight ends. Might put your fastest player in the slot and run middle screens. Then again what do I know.

This should be a good game. You have to stuff the box on defense if you don't want Prep throwing up 50 on you.

If Shadyside is missing that key back I find it hard for them to win.

I wouldn't be shocked if Shadyside wins this game, especially if they find a way to stop the running back. But, they will not win by 21.

If you load up the box, Prep will kill you with their speed to the outside.
Plus they can throw the ball.

I agree LCF, even though I said load up the box. Prep is a tough team to match up against. They are definitely at their best when they are running with that back, but they show some signs of being able to pass. And their speed is deadly! This, in my opinion, will be a tough matchup for the #2 seed.

Their QB seems to get rid of the ball really fast on the sideline throws and those he throws to are crazt fast.

It's been two years but when I watched prep in the playoffs they were supremely athletic and not well coached at all. They quit when things got physical. If shadyside pounds it at them and controls the clock on offense and limits the big play on D they can win.

Redskinwitness is correct. Harvest Prep gets out coached in this game. Shadyside wins 14-6 and makes a statement on defense.

That is why I said it. If anyone in this region can slow Prep down, I believe it is Shadyside. I think they can. Harvest Prep hasn't even been challenged since week 4 (40-30 win against Worthington Christian). The teams that Prep lost to are very solid teams. Their win-loss records combined are 26-4. However, the teams that they have beaten are suspect as best, as their combined record is 22-48. The one point total that impressed me is putting up 36 on a darn good Franklin Heights team. That is impressive. However, I am not sold on the second part of their schedule. They are putting up 58 points per game in their wins, but factor in 84 of those points were put up on a woeful 1-9 Millersport team, and four of their seven wins are against teams who have less than 2 wins this season. I am impressed on the output on offense and athleticism, just not sold on their schedule in the second half of the season. Harvest Prep has the 75th (out of 114 teams) toughest schedule in Division 7 while Shadyside has the 25th toughest schedule in Division 7. Just some food for thought.
